4 in 1 Chainmaille construction is one of the easiest and of course the most used weave of any kind.
First: you need one open ring and four closed ones connecting them together and closing the open link.
Second: you need to lay out these five rings so they lay flat. Then with one open ring and two closed, you connect it to the bottom two rings, as shown.
Third: you need to continue the process described in step two until you reach the desired width, just making sure it is a managable piece to work with.
Fourth: when you complete this chain, make another of the same length.
Fifth: line the two chains up next to eachother, and start to link them together.
Sixth: make sure that the connecting rings are placed parallel to the linking rings (signified by the darker color)making sure that your weave comes out straight.
Seventh: continue this until the two chains are completely linked.
Eighth: continue this process until you have the desired length.
