From The Desk of E.V.R.J | ||||
Wow, I haven't updated this thing since April, but hey it makes no real difference since no one reads it anyhow. Might as well update on what's happened since then. I've decided to attend Alfred University this fall. It shall be an interesting experience living so far from home, but you got to learn sometime. Anyhow, one benefit of attending the school is one of my good friends goes to Alfred State College which is like a hop, jump and skip away so I atleast know one person when I go up there. I've pretty much ignored any senior activity they've had this year. Missing out on the Senior Luncheon, Senior Trip and most recently Senior Prom (even though I was considering attending, but when I went to pay it was rather late.) I did attend Awards' Night which I didn't want to either, but hey atleast I got something from that. I got a total of 16 awards which is broken up into 9 medals and 7 paper certificates. I was also reluctant about getting the yearbook as I've said to several people I'm not too keen on my senior class as a whole, and then when I saw the Yearbook and saw that I was only featured in it 3 times using the same picture twice, my level of interest pretty much dropped off the chart. Then I got my hand on last year's edition, which is far superior to this year's edition for several reasons. Not just because it features me more. The simple fact is, the longer development time just made it better. It features a lot more pictures, it features almost every senior atleast 10 times and almost every page is covered with pictures. In comparison to this year's book, which only had a select few students over and over, the layout was pretty barren, they waste 10 pages in a 74 page book on poems and artwork which wasn't done by the seniors and they reuse several pictures 2,,3 or even 4 times in a small book. Anyhow, I ended up getting it, something to remind me of my senior year as much as I don't care to remember for it. I've had several people sign the book thus far, I'll have more sign as the week progresses since some weren't around much this week. I'm also "borrowing" the other book for comparison sake. This is the final full week of high school. I have several finals to take this week, while actually 3, Physics, Economics and Criminial Justice. I think I'm gonna do well on them since I actually plan on studying since I heard something from a teacher, I may go into later, but I need to verify it. Anyhow, I guess that concludes yet another rant, and until next time, keep your eyes on your own papers and stay away from my desk. |
