Darkness |
Silver pools of moonlight,
Fall upon her face, Dive deep into her mind, Where pain cannot be traced, Closer still she huddles, Releasing whimpers through the night, waiting for her beacon, to shine a little light. In the world she lives in, Holds her fears, dangers, and hurt, For no one was there for comfort, And no one was there to care Darkness consumed her heart in day, And darkness devoured her world at night, Where O’ where, she wondered was the savior of her plight? Lonely little child, Sheds tears filled with pain Never ending, ever flowing, Like the heavy downpour of rain. No one sees the tears, That held her dreams and fears, For she hides behind a smile, A mask she cannot live in—a mask she neither can live without. Delicate tiny flower Blooms with love and care With a little shower, It’ll grow into a beauty O’ so fair. But darkness consumed her heart in day, And darkness devoured her world at night, Where O’ where, she wondered, Was the savior of her plight? |
