The Y&R Watchers Anonymous can help you .  We understand and can relate to your problems.  Don't worry!  Just follow these easy steps and you could be cured from Y&R obsessive-compulsive disorder (YROCD).

1.  Accept the fact that you are obsessed with Y&R.
2.  Admit you are powerless over Y&R and that your life has become unmanageable.
3.  Make the decision to get your life back under control.
4.  Admit to yourself and a close friend or family member who does not suffer from YROCD that you are addicted to Y&R.
5.  Ask that person to help you. 
6.  Be ready to change your obsessive Y&R ways.
7.  Make a list of all the people you have ignored and hurt during your obsession with Y&R and be willing to make amends with them all.
8.  Make amends with these people.
9.  Make a plan to get involved in other activities so that the amount of Y&R in your life is controllable.
10.  Keep a positive attitude and stick to your plan.

At first it could be scary and you might get YRWS (Y&R Withdrawal Syndrome) but everything is going to be okay.  Stay strong and you will find out that there is life without the Young and the Restless.  I'm not saying that you should stop watching Y and R but don't let Y and R control your life.  Too much can only hurt you.  Remember only a healthy dosage of Y and R can be good for you!

5 things you can do to prevent having Y&R obsessive-compulsive disorder (YROCD)

1.  Have a good self-esteem and know that there is life beyond Y&R.
2.  Sometimes you just have to say no and walk away.
3.  Have some friends who do not have YROCD.
4.  Do something when Y&R is not on or just tape Y&R.  It's okay to set the VCR when you go to work or school.
5.  Set goals (not Y&R goals!)
