| Introduction |
| This is the story of a young boy in high school, Tenchi Masaki. He lives in rural Japan, near a shrine with his grandfather, a Shinto Priest. (This part differs depending on which series you watch) One day, Tenchi decides to head to a nearby cave, against his grandfather’s advice, where a demon has been sealed up for thousands of years. Tenchi accidentally opens the cave and releases a demon and taking a light-sword in the process. |
