So, you wanted to know a little bit about me, eh?  Well, fair enough.

My name is Giselle.
Pretty simple, I guess.  Some people call me Zel, Gis, G, Zooie, ZooBoo, YACrusader, along with a few others,  but for the most part I tend to stick with my real name.

I was born and raised in Utah here in the USA, and really I haven't been very far outside of it since birth.  I think I'd like to travel sometime, but for now I'm happy with where I'm at.

Back in the summer of 2000, a small summer television series premiered on the WB called Young Americans.  Since it was the summer and most of everything on TV was all reruns I decided to see what it was about.  I guess you can figure out what happened.  I loved it!  Whether or not it was for a lack of other sources of entertainment I'll never know, but either way I was hooked.

I easily fell in love with the Jake and Hamilton storyline, and the character of Bella Banks who, still remains as my favorite on the show.  The eight summer episodes rounded down and now the big question came, was the show going to continue?

At that point in time I didn't have the internet at home and the only connection to the net that I did have was at work.  So, while I was on one of my breaks I decided to see what I could find out about it.  That was when I found the Jahammers.

Now, being the internet lemming that I was, I had absolutely no idea what a mailing list really was, silly me.  So, I joined it.  The first time I opened my email and found 50 plus emails in there I was astounded.  Going through them on my breaks at work was one of the toughest things in the world, lol.

Then, the list introduced something new to me - fanfiction.

Now, seeing as how I loved to write stories in high school, and reading is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time, I jumped right in and started my own fanfiction.
Death's Advocate.

The response I got for part one of my little fic was inspiring.  So inspiring, that I decided not to torture my readers and actually make it longer instead of the one, simple part.  Really, you could all thank Elisheva for that.  ;)

So, I got hooked into fanfiction.  No doubt about it.

As Young Americans winded down, and the show wasn't continued despite all of the fans' efforts, my fandoms for fanfiction began to grow.  I started to read Candy fanfic in the Roswell fandom, and after about a year of lurking I actually decided to write my own.  Unicorn Tears.

Since the very first episode of Young Americans, I've been pulled into the world of writing and I've stayed there.  I've found friends I never thought I could have become so close to, and I'm sure I've alienated some of them with my oddness, lol.  Most importantly, I've stuck with my passion and I've continued to entertain myself and others with my writing abilities. (no matter how mediocre)

So, this is were I am right now.  Writing fanfiction, doing my best to keep in touch with my Young Americans friends, and living life as it comes.
