The Duelfer Report officially states what has been known for years: There were no weapons of mass destruction and thus no justification for Bush's war. Where is the outrage in the Congress over this? Let's put this in historical perspective. Not that long ago, President Clinton was impeached because he lied under oath about an extramarital affair. As a "House manager," responsible for overseeing this prosecution, Utah's U.S. Rep. Chris Cannon played an instrumental role in this shameful episode. He even went so far as to demand Vice President Al Gore step down, even though he did not accuse him of anything except guilt by association. I specifically call on Congressman Cannon to explain why lying about sex is deserving of impeachment and the Bush administration's criminality is not. |
