Site History

What you see before you is actually Version 2.0 of the Clan L&P website (in case you didn't see the "version 2.0" banner at the splash page). Version 1.0 took me awhile, but it was my very first site and had all the content and was easy to navigate, but it didn't look too good. This damn sexy version at least has a decent color scheme. The previous had a bright red banner, dark red background, and blue navigation bars with green buttons. Sound ugly? See for yourself

Version 1.0 was born on 12/18/02...I think...and the gist of it was completed within Winter Break. Even after several modifications, the code was cumbersome, inefficient, and the layout was boring and at the same time blinding. Version 2.0's redness might be hard to handle at first, but I wanted to stay true to Trigun and L&P with a red color scheme. Of course, bright red would be horrible, so dark red is obviously what I went with. Essentially, Version 2.0 is a bigger, better, sexier version born on 7/11/03 after at least 2 weeks of hard-ass work.

Besides layout, graphics, and other visuals, I didn't change much for version 2.0. It still required plenty of work. The reason 1.0 took longer is because I had to come up with the content too. For version 2.0, I kept mostly the same content, but maybe organized them better (or at least I hope so). Of course, I still added plenty of new content to go along with the new look, but the bulk of the writing came from version 1.0.

Why did I create this site when my clan isn't exactly an army? This is more than a clan site. I wish others would see it as a resource site, a helpful site. Besides learning html and creating a venue for my clan, this site is for YOU as an SoF2 player. I want you to click the close button thinking, "Damnnnnnnnnnnn...I learned a lot and that Prey guy is damn sexy"...or at least something similar...haha. I'll be content with, "That was helpful, but those jokes sucked ass!" Really, that's fine. In fact, it's better because it means that the content was good even if the writer was not...wait...that's actually a bad thing...

What I meant to say is that I hope the content is just so damn good that not even bad jokes could turn you away...yeah...there we go.

For the most part, I'd say version 1.0 was a decent success story since the hit counter kept going up and I got some nice comments and a ton of people took the quiz I had up.

Version...
2.1:
-Many complained that the color scheme was too red, so I added silver buttons and silver banners for the home page. Damn, I'm a pleaser.

2.0:
-Totally new layout, graphics, and red color scheme
-Added new content
-Moved some old content to seperate pages or to other pages
--News article
--Screenshot not available because I was too stupid to remember to take one before fooling around and changing to version 2.1
1.0:
-I never formally listed my major site updates, so version 1.0 is essentially refering to the time when I started out the site with just a few links and some text and some really bad color, then added graphics, more content, a ton of shit...one by one...
