For people who are really seeking Yahweh, you must prove ALL things:

Acts 17:11

11:

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

2 Tim. 3:16-17	16:	All scripture is given by inspiration of Yahweh, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
	17:	That the man of Yahweh may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

1 Thess. 5:21

21:

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Mark 7:9-13	9:	And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of Yahweh, that ye may keep your own tradition.
	10:	For Moses said, Honor they Father and thy Mother; and, Whoso curseth Father or Mother, let him die the death:
	11:	But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
	12:	And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
	13:	Making the word of Yahweh of non effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered:  and many such like things do ye.

2 Tim. 4:2-5	2:	Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
	3:	For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
	4:	And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
	5:	But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

1 John 4:1

1:

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of Yahweh:  because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Matthew 15:8

8:

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

2 Tim. 2:15

15:

Study to show thyself approved unto Yahweh, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

John 5:39-40	39:	Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:  and they are they which testify of me.
	40:	And ye will not come to me that ye might have life.

2 Peter 3:16

16:

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Acts 18:28

28:

For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, showing by the scriptures that Yahweh was the Messiah.

2 Tim. 2:23

23:

But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

Romans 12:7

Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering:  or he that teacheth, on teaching;

Romans 16:17

17:

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause division and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Now you see no matter what your preacher preaches or your teacher teaches or your assembly teaches as doctrine, you must search the scriptures to prove all things.  Whether they be of Yahweh or otherwise, you must search it out.  If it be of Yahweh, nothing can stand against it.  Because if it is sound doctrine, it will always edify itself and never contradict itself.  That's why you should never teach or preach anything until it has been proven to be sound doctrine.
