ARE THEY DONE AWAY WITH?
Deut. 5:6-21 |
6: |
I am Yahweh thy Mighty One, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. |
7: |
Thou shalt have none other deities before me. |
|
8: |
Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: |
|
9: |
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I Yahweh they Mighty One am a jealous Mighty One, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me. |
|
10: |
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. |
|
11: |
Thou shalt not take the name of Yahweh thy Mighty One in vain: for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. |
|
12: |
Keep the Sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yahweh thy Mighty One hath commanded thee. |
|
13: |
Six days thou shalt labor, and do all they work: |
|
14: |
But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahweh thy Mighty One: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that they manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. |
|
15: |
And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that Yahweh thy Mighty One brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore Yahweh thy Might One commanded thee to keep the Sabbath day. |
|
16: |
Honor thy father and thy mother, as Yahweh thy Mighty One hath commanded thee: that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which Yahweh thy Mighty One giveth thee. |
|
17: |
Thou shalt not murder. |
|
18: |
Neither shalt thou commit adultery. |
|
19: |
Neither shalt thou steal. |
|
20: |
Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbor. |
|
21: |
Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor's wife, neither shalt thou covet they neighbor's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbor's. |
Exodus 20:23 |
23: |
Ye shall not make with me deities of silver, neither shall ye make unto you deities of gold. |
YAHWEH'S TEN COMMANDMENTS: |
1. |
I am Yahweh your Almighty, Who has brought you out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other deities before Me. |
|
2. |
You shall not make yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I Yahweh your Almighty am a jealous Almighty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments. |
|
3. |
You shall not make wrong use of the Name of Yahweh your Almighty; Yahweh will not leave unpunished the man who misuses His Name. |
|
4. |
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it set apart. Six days shall you labor, and do all your work: but the seventh day is a Sabbath of Yahweh your Almighty; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your manservant, or your maidservant, or your cattle, or the stranger that is within your gates; for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore, Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart. |
|
5. |
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that Yahweh your Almighty gives you. |
|
6. |
You shall not commit murder. |
|
7. |
You shall not commit adultery. |
|
8. |
You shall not steal. |
|
9. |
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. |
|
10. |
You shall not covet your neighbors house, you shall not covet your neighbors wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's. |
|
Do we keep the Laws of Yahweh? Or was that just the Laws of the Old Covenant and they should no longer be practiced? |
Matt. 19:17 |
17: |
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is Yahweh: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. |
Matt. 5:17-18 |
17: |
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfill. |
18: |
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. |
|
The above scripture tell it all UNTIL Heaven and Earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished. |
Matt. 5:19 |
19: |
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven |
1 John 2:3-4 |
3: |
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. |
4: |
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. |
1 John 5:2-3 |
2: |
By this we know that we love the children of Yahweh, when we love Yahweh, and keep his commandments. |
3: |
For this is the love of Yahweh, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. |
2 John 1:6 |
6: |
And this love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, that, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. |
James 2:10-11 |
10: |
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. |
11: |
For he that said, "Do not commit adultery," said also, "Do not murder." Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou murder, thou art become a transgressor of the law. |
|
As you can see from the following verses, the laws were not done away with. They were taught to the ROMANS, they were taught to the HEBREWS, they were taught to the EPHESIANS and they were practiced. |
Romans 2:13 |
13: |
For not the hearers of the law are just before Yahweh, but the doers of the law shall be justified. |
Romans 3:31 |
31: |
Do we then make void the law through faith? Yahweh forbid: yea, we establish the law. |
Romans 7:7 12 |
7: |
What shall we say then? Is the law transgression? Yahweh forbid. Nay, I had not known transgression, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. |
12: |
Wherefore the law is set apart, and the commandment set apart, and just, and good. |
Hebrews 8:10 |
10: |
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Yahweh; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a Father, and they shall be to me a people: |
Hebrews 10:16 |
16: |
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them |
Ephesians 6:2-3 |
2: |
Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; |
3: |
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. |
|
Yahweh's Commandments were not being taught that they were done away with. If they were, then the Apostle Paul would not be teaching the EPHESIANS to obey the Law! |
1 John 2:15-17 |
15: |
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. |
16: |
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. |
|
17: |
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of Yahweh abideth forever. |
John 14:15 21 |
15: |
If ye love me, keep my commandments. |
21: |
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |
John 15:10 |
10: |
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. |
Rev. 22:14 |
14: |
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. |
1 John 3:22 & 24 |
22: |
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and to do those things that are pleasing in his sight. |
24: |
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. |
|
Can man really keep the Commandments without Yahweh's Spirit in them? |
Ezekiel 36:27 |
27: |
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. |
Romans 8:9 |
9: |
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of Yahweh dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Yahweh, he is none of his. |
2 Corinth. 13:5 |
5: |
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Yahweh the Messiah is in you, except ye be reprobates? |
