October is the festival of Puti at Yaki's Kennel.......
On October 31, 1997 Our Teta gave birth to 4 healthy puppies...3boys and 1 girl.   We named them, as follows: God of love, god of sea, god of gods,& god of beauty.   Thanks to Lucianne's  (Penny), Ma. Theresa Olesco, & Dra. Lily Ng's  patience in guiding us with the basics of puppy care. ........

Puti is a very shy puppy.  He loves to play with his littermates but never with us....

All we have been thinking then was....we wanted to finish that puppy up to a Philippine Champion title. It was Penny and Tyrone Cruz who encourage us to campaign him until at least Philippine Grand Champion title.  He finished his Philippine Grand champion title by winning Best in Show, which according to Penny was the first time in Philippine Canine Club's history that a local born shih tzu to have won Best in Show.  A novice exhibitor like us wouldn't know anything about history and records.   We were not after that.  We just wanted to spend our weekend at the show and go home with trophies to show our parents and parade at home our dogs' trophies and rossettes.  Penny and Tyrone adviced us not to retire Puti because he might get ranking with top dogs of the year as it was shown in the show catalog.....and finally,
Philippine Bred Dog of the year 1999

This coming October 31, 2003  Puti is celebrating his 6th birthday. He sired Phil Grand Champion Yaki's Magnifico, Phil Grand Champion Yaki's Alocasia and Phil Champion Yaki's Change of Heart. We shall celebrate his birthday quietly at home and campaign his sons "SAILOR" and "GOGO" to continue his line.
