Imagine

Imagine waking up one morning know that the results of your tests aren't going to be good. That, for weeks now, even months, you have had this feeling that something is terribly wrong. You wonder what this feeling of disorientation, weakness, trembling etc is. You don't have long to wait.

MS!!! Multiple Sclerosis! You now know. It is reality!  You are devastated. Your family is too but, do they know what you are going through? Do they know the pain you go through with each attack? Do they know how much you think you are a burden to them? Do they know how many times you wished you could end it all so they wouldn't have to see you suffer?

Imagine knowing that for the rest of your life, you will be on medications. If you don't exercise daily, you could be in a wheelchair soon. That, it is a case of "Use them or, loose them!" That is only a small part of it. Imagine that you feel your family and friends can't talk to you about it. Perhaps they know what you are going through but, they don't know how to talk about it.
Perhaps, they fear the truth. Perhaps they love you so much, they don't want to know.

How do we tell a loved one that we do love them, that, we feel for them through everything? That, as a family, when they hurt, we hurt too. It wouldn't be fair to say we know all that you are going through. But, for some of us, we have seen the pain and suffering.

I, myself, have seen how MS can affect a life. To have some one you love say, "Mom, I never wanted you to see me this way" To wish you could take away the hurt and feel helpless that you can't.

The times we loose faith and wonder "WHY?" Why did it have to come to our family?  But, could we wish it on others knowing what it can do.
Family and friends need to talk to one another. Families need to be able to say, "Please, explain it to us, because, WE love YOU. WE need to know

This page is dedicated to Rhonda, Ann and all out there that have MS.
God Bless you and let's pray a cure is not too far off.
