Mission Statement

When I first began constructing this site in May, 2003, I had several objectives in mind:
  (1) To inform the public of what and what not to do in an emergency medical situation.
  (2) To provide a wealth of reference sources for diseases and other medical conditions, medications and drug interactions, and a Q&A page listing patients' most commonly expressed concerns.
  (3) To enlighten the public as to the basic workings of their own body and to dispell myths regarding the amazing human body.

This site is continually being updated and revised. As the site grows larger and larger, navigation becomes an issue. On each page within the site there is at least one button or link back to here, the home page. In most cases however there is more than one button or link to another area. The dropdown menu below will take you directly to each "room" or page.

• HonestMed.com A site that is most informative and helpful. There is much to be found here, including medical ethics.
• Free Online Medical Dictionary An essential reference source, be sure to bookmark it.
• DrugDigest.com A handy online reference guide to prescription drugs and many common medical problems.
• Medicine Net Similar to WebMD but it contains more detailed information and is geared more for medical professionals.
• Virtual Autopsy Site Perform a virtual autopsy online to determine the cause of death.
• The MEDCENTER A BigTent.com Community group with open membership to all who have an interest in medical/psychological topics.
  
  MEDCENTER offers Live (Real Time) consults in its live chatroom. To obtain a free consult register at BUZZEN...and look for The_Medcenter in the Sport and Health Category. This room is staffed by Medical Professionals who will assist you in all ways possible.
