 Welcome to Young Americans: The Local Five Webpage. From May 2000 until July 2000, our town experienced a little bit of Hollywood. A new dramatic series, entitled, "Young Americans", a spin-off of the WB's "Dawson's Creek", was filming not so far away in our hometown. Slowly but surely, the five of us made our way to the set and our way into each other's lives. We met the crew, chatted with the cast, and best of all, made new friends. Sadly, the spotlights dimmed and we had to return to our "normal lives." Now, we share with you our summer of 2000 experience(s) and memories with the cast, crew, and fans of this remarkable show. Please read that page before sending a question, e-mail. Currently working on adding more pictures of Mark and Ian as soon as my scanner decides to work. Looks like Dawson's Creek will be in Wilmington for its final year after all! :-( March 7, 2001: While Young Americans may be gone and we have moved on with our lives, the latest rumor going around is that production of "Dawson's Creek" will relocate to Baltimore for its fifth and final season! As much as we love traveling to Wilmington, North Carolina every few months to scout out our favorite DC stars, the traveling and the expense wears us down. While we are trying not get our hopes up, but we hope the "Dawson's Creek" producers will realize that Baltimore has many college campuses and key ideal locations to film the show. :-) See ya all later! Note from Carrie: Unfortunately, Young Americans is gone from the airwaves forever, but the show will forever live on in our hearts. We will always cherish our memories in the three short months we got to know the cast and crew of "Young Americans."
