Since before Freshman Year in HighSchool I wanted this car.  I first saw it in a magazine (of which I don't recall, I wasn't too into cars yet, but I knew I'd be in the market for one in the years to come), and knew that this was the car I wanted to get.      I didn't get it until 3 months after I graduated HighSchool (which really sucked!).  I found it used in a AutoBuys for $16,900!  It was October of 2000, and I went down to buy this '98 Type-R.  Unfortunately, it had a salvaged title, but it was in good shape!      The OEM spoiler was missing, but the dealer gave me a TYPE-R rip off for free.  The original Type-R rims were still intact, though a little scratched up, the "R" on the passenger side had been chipped, and there was very minor damage to the paint.  The passenger side door panel had a loose stitching, but the engine, suspension, and transmission were all sound.      I bought it 3 days later, and haven't ever regretted it.  I can still remember going to sleep that night, and waking up the next day thinking it was all a dream.  Well, I woke up, and it was a dream come true.

I had a lot of good times in this car, and it was a pleasant change from my Mom's '96 Toyota Corolla DX.  I made some mistakes while modifying it, and I did some things just right.  It was a good learning experience, and the fact that I had it while it was at the height of it's popularity (thanks to Import Tuner) made it a hot item.      That had it's pluses and minuses (as you can probably imagine)..  It was always under a vigalant eye (and still is) because of thieves.  I've had the emblems stolen numerous times, and the spoiler was half way taken off the car at one point.  There was another time I was on the phone with a friend at 3am (I mean really, 3 in the morning), to hear some movement outside my window (where the car wass parked).  Just as I heard it, the

alarm went off.  I went running out with my katana in hand, but by the time I got outside, I could only hear the exhaust of another car taking off down the street at full throttle.

Unfortunately, due to recent events (as of 8/22/04) I am debating over selling this car next Summer (Summer of '05).  If I do sell it, will be selling for $14,000 O.B.O.  It might appear on EBAY, if I haven't sold it by July of '05.  There will be some extras thrown in, since I won't be able to use them without the car.  I haven't decided if I will sell these items separately, or with the car.
