SONYA was our foundation bitch and was also the very first Akita that we had the pleasure of being owned by. Sonya was a pleasure to own, not a care in the world.  My youngest son Liam, would show her in Junior Handlers and they were a great team. Our Sonya was lightly campaigned with great success.  She won Reserve Challenge Bitch (her Mum won the Challenge Bitch) at the Brisbane Royal Show in 1990 and than Sonya won Challenge Bitch - Brisbane Royal 1993. At the young age of 7 years, our darling Sonya (cancer), travelled over the Rainbow Bridge.
