This chapter's really short. I only own Hemsut/Liz. OK, I got that over with. Anyway, I decided to put my birthday in 'cause I get really really pissed if I don't know the characters' ages or birthdays. It also annoys me that they never get older.

Chapter 3

The Vision

“Happy Birthday Liz!” I came out of the guestroom on Tuesday.

“Wha?” I rubbed my right eye, “Ow! What was that for?” I glared up at Bakura, rubbing my head.

“You didn’t tell me it was your birthday,” He answered. Then he demanded, “How old are you?”

“She’s twelve,” Caro looked up from her scrambled eggs.

“Damn it!” Bakura yelled, “I’m still the oldest in this fucking house!”

“Well, yeah,” I said even as Bakura glared daggers, “It’s not like I’d age 100 years in only a year.”

“Actually,” Marguerite corrected me, “Bakura’s a few million years old.”

“Isn’t Yami?” Caro was obviously siding with Bakura, “There’s a possibility that Yami’s older.”

Marguerite stood up with her plate and fork as she answered haughtily, “Yami was called a young pharaoh. Bakura’s been called a tomb robber before, but he was never called a young tomb robber.”

“Damn it!” Bakura yelled, “Even that bastard is younger than me! I hate this life!”

“Uh, Bakura,” I said cautiously. Just because I’ve been living with him for a few weeks doesn’t mean he won’t still get mad at me, and when it’s Bakura who gets mad, it’s not very good. “Aren’t you just a spirit and not really alive?” There was a short, tense pause and then, “AAAAAAAAAAAAH! Caro! Okay, I definitely like Ryou better! Caro! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!”

I’ll let you guess why I was screaming when I’m usually quiet and shy. Well, not around Caro, Marguerite, Bakura, and…you know. Point is that Bakura was pretty mad at me for the rest of the day. If he knows you well enough, he’ll forgive you…eventually. I know it’s hard to imagine Bakura forgiving anyone, but hey, he can be sweet at times. Don’t tell him I said that, besides, he’s only really, truly nice to Caro only.

“Maybe if we could get Seto a girlfriend, maybe he’d adopt us,” Marguerite suggested.

“You guys have been at it for days,” I complained, “Why don’t you just get Mokuba to convince Seto. Wouldn’t that be easier?

“Good point,” Caro agreed, “But just in case…”

I got annoyed, so I decided to help Mr. Moto to unload a few things. Remember, I work at Mr. Moto’s game shop since he paid for Caro’s medical bills when Tristen broke her arm.

“Hemsut,” Mr. Moto asked, “Shouldn’t you go to school? You are only 11 years old.”

I passed him a box. “I turned twelve two days ago,” I reminded him, “And I go to school in my world.”

Mr. Moto took the last box from me, “I can see that you’re annoyed at those two,” he nodded in Caro and Marguerite’s direction. “Why don’t you take the afternoon off? Go visit your friend. Isis, was it?”

I smiled, “Thanks Mr. Moto, but are you sure you want to fill in for me?”

“No problem,” he answered cheerfully, “I was able to run the shop by myself before.”

Quietly, I took some money and my coat, and then walked out the door and towards the museum.

************

“Hemsut!” Isis walked up to me, “I thought that you’d go to the Egyptian exhibit. Why are you in here?”

“I couldn’t find you,” I turned away from a statue of Artemis, “I heard someone say that you were in the Greek exhibit, so I came here to find you.”

“What plan does Caro and Marguerite intend to use?” Isis asked, taking my hand and leading me to an “Employees Only” room.

“They wanna get Seto a girlfriend and as thanks, he’d adopt them,” I laughed, “Like that’d work.”

“Do you want to see?” Isis fingered her millennium necklace as she opened the door and turned to lights on.

I grinned.

************

I looked down at the scene underneath me and grabbed Isis. I knew that I would stay floating, but I hadn’t realized that we’d be so…high.

A girl with light brown hair and aqua colored eyes walked up to me (the me that was under me) and said, “I’m sorry but, I heard your conversation with Isis.”

My eyes widened, “You’re not from Anime World?”

“Anime World? So that’s what this place is called,” the girl seemed relieved to sorta know where she was. “I’m sorry, I’m not from around here, but I like Seto Kaiba.”

“You do?” I asked, “Where do you come from?”

The girl hesitated before saying, “You probably haven’t heard of it before.”

“Don’t worry,” I assured her, “I’m not from around here either. My name’s Hemsut and I’m from America, unnamed world.”

“Unnamed world?”

“Yeah,” I started to explain, “I call it unnamed world since I have no idea what else to call it.”

I looked up at Isis and asked, “D’you know why I’m not acting shy?”

“Maybe it’s because you were expecting it,” Isis answered.

In case you’re wondering, the last me who spoke was the me me, as in not the future me who was talking to the girl with aqua eyes. Anyway, back to the story.

Eventually, I learned that the girl’s name was Hannah, then I told her all about the portals and stuff and becoming your own character, then we decided that her name was Kiki. Anyway, I also found out that Kiki was 11 years old, but 4 years isn’t too much of an age difference, right?

All of what I saw happened the next day when I was hanging around Isis again.

************

“No way! You found someone?” Caro was hyper again.

“Yeah, I think she’s kinda young though,” I answered, “She’s younger than I am.”

“Really?” Marguerite started to worry, “By how much?”

“Not much,” I answered casually She’s eleven.”

“Liz, you are ele- wait, never mind, you’re twelve,” Caro corrected herself.

I started towards the mansion, “Why’re you just standing there? Let’s go get’em.”

************

It was pretty boring so I won’t go into details. We introduced Kiki to Seto, Seto looked really funny, he asked Kiki out, then came over to us and said if the date worked out, he’d adopt Caro and Marguerite. He offered to adopt me, but I decided to wait for Isis’s answer. There, nice and short.

Crappy chapter. Gotta go, Caro's at my house (what's new? she practiacally lives here) and she's had a lot of sugar. Anyone who's read Falling Into the World of Yugioh knows that this is not a good thing. Repeat, NOT a good thing. NOT A GOOD THING! NO CARO! DON'T BREAK THAT! Heehee just kidding, but she did have lots of sugar. Anyway, just imagine the scene when we first met Bakura. I think she's talking to me, but I blocked out her voice a long time ago.

Note from Caro: I'm practically writing this for you Liz! You have to be listening to me! Heehee FIRE!

See what I mean?
