"Ensign's log: Earth date, June/1/2260.
Supplimental entry, Two years have passed and still no sign of commander goddard and his class, and not to mention that strange ship he dissapeared in."

"I still can't beleive it to this day, that unknown ship was giving off bio-electric impulses, almost as if it were alive, but thats what the boys back at U.P.P. defence said their scanners were picking up."

"I just pray I don't find them first becaue I really hate the idea of carrying out those orders from Admiral Ross.

"I don't know why he ca....."I am sorry to interupt you Ensign".

Sorin looked up from his log book and stared at the computer monitor, "Thats alright Terra",
he said to the computer.

Terra was an experimental Artificially intelagent computer program that ran most of the ship's systems.

She was a prototype disigned for long range singal man exploration ships,
and Sorin had been lucky enough to receive the first one ever designed.

Sorin turned to the interface screen and said,
"Report Terra".

Terra replied by bringing up a graphic on her display screen. What is that he thought, it looks like a cross between a bird and a fish.

"Identify object on sensors" Sorin commanded as if he were talking to an actual crew. "This ship matches that of the ship that Commander Goddard and his class dissapeared in, on earth year 2258, at exactly"..."Yes thank you Terra I know when they dissapeared", "What I want to know is if this is the exact ship that they dissapeared on.

"Geeze well excuse me, I was just trying to sound like an authentic computer,
you know the kind that drone on and on and tell you more than you really wanted to know".

"It could be another ship from the race that made the first one", but "It's shape and markings are identical to the one scanned at the star academy two years ago". She replied.

"Ensign...

"Ensign...

Well, thought Sorin, after all this time I've finally found you commander, I just hope..."Ensign!!!"
yelled Terra for the third time. "What is it", Sorin hollared back at the annoying computer which was by now screaming at him.

"Well excuse me for interrupting your train of thought",
"(not that it would be a very long trip)" the computer mummbled, "but I just thought you'd like to know that there are four Spung ships Approaching on an intercept course for both ships".

"Well why didn't you say so in the first place!?", "Well you looked so cute, just sitting there lost in thought that I just didn't have the heart to disturb you". The computer replied sarcastically. "Thats enough", Sorin ordered, "Just open a channel to the other ship".
 

Harlan Band stood at the helm and yawned, "Geeze", he moaned "could these shifts be any more boring"? He said to no one in particular.

"Oh", "I don't know", Cat replied as she stood up from her console and walked up behind Harlan. She wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him on the cheek. "It all depends on who you spend it with".
Harlan looked back at her smiled, looked around the room and saw only Suzee sitting at her console, so he turned his attention back to Cat and returned the kiss.

He was glad Commander Goddard and Miss Davenport were not in the comm-post or they would have given the kids hell.

Both the Commander and Miss Davenport didn't approve of "personal displays of effection when on duty", as Mrs. Davenport called it. Besides they had good reason not to approve, most of the crew were pairing off.

Suzee however just looked at the two of them and said sarcastically,
"Why don't you two get a room or something".

Cat winked at Suzee, turned back to Harlan and said "Oh don't listen to her, she's just jealous" and went back to flirting with him.

Suzee had to admit she was a bit jealous, after all, before she breached the interdimensional barrier, (but with an explosion only powerful enough to bring Cat back to this dimension without sending Suzee back to Yensid, a big dissapointment to Suzee)

She practically had every boy on the ship wrapped around her finger,
but ever since the return of Catalina, and the arrival of Elmira, the boys hardly paid any attention to her now.

Even young Bova stopped trying to impress her and started paying more attention to Rosie, it seemed like everyone on the ship had someone, except Suzee (even the Commander and Mrs. Davenport were spending quite alot of their free time together
and the crew was beginning to talk)

She was the odd man...er...girl out, so to speek.

"I'm not jealous Cat I just..."hold on" Suzee stopped in mid-sentence

"What is it" Harlan asked.

"I'm picking up an incoming transmission"

"What the" she exclaimed puzzled, "I'm picking up a second transmission and...your not going to belive this, but
this one's got a U.P.P. Stardog code!!", Harlan turned to Suzee and shouted,

"A Star Dog, thats immposible, way out here"

"Suzee" Harlan asked, " barely able to contain his exitement, who's the other
transmission from?"

She looked at the console and groaned, "Oh No"

"What" he asked.

"It's Shank" she replied.

"Shank" Harlan repeated in disgust.

Harlan hit the button for inter-ship communications and said.

"This is an emergency, everyone to the command post now"

Harlan could feel Cat's arms grow tighter around him and he could feel her start to tremble.

"It's all right" he whispered "I won't let him hurt you"

Harlan knew she was terrified, why shouldn't she be, the last time Cat met up with Shank, she almost died.
But thanks to some quick thinking on Suzee's part Cat was only stranded in another dimension. (Yeah Only)

Harlan looked up, heard the jump tube whirr and out popped The Commander, with Radu and Elmira following.

Harlan took a quick second to explain what was happening,

"Suzee let's here the stardog message first" the commander ordered

"Yes sir", Suzee replied and punched in a few commands on her console.

"Thelma" the commander shouted, the android appeared behind him and as usual scared him half to death, "Don't do that" he said, then asked, "Why didn't the alarms go off"

"The Christa could not pick up the signatures of either ship because they were in hyper space commander" she replied.

"Commander" Suzee called, " I've opened a communications link with the U.P.P.
ship.

Commander Goddard spoke into the open channel and said, "This is Commander Goddard calling the unidentified U.P.P. ship please respond.

"This is Ensign Sorin Yammichi of the United Populated Planets, requesting permission to dock with you and come aboard", " My engines are out of power and one of the Spung ship's is breaking off to attack me", Sorin replied calmly considering the situation he was in.

Commander Goddard Turned to Rosie who just appeared on the bridge and said,

"Rosie get down to the docking bay and prepare to recieve our guest".

" Right away Commander", She replied.

"Thank you commander", Sorin replied.

The commander turned to the open communications link and said, "No problem Ensign, just make it quick,
the spung will be here in less than one minute",

Harlan just stood there and said quietly "Commander, don't forget weve got Warlord Shank on hold"

"Suzee lets here the transmission from shank, I'm sure he's been on hold long enough,"

With out a word Suzee punched up the transmision from warlord shank.

"This is warlord shank", Shank said menacingly as his face appeared on screen.

"Shank?" the commander replied, "However did you manage to convince Pezu to let you go" He asked sarcastically,

Remembering his little feasco with that sentient space station that held him hostage, Shank replied, "that does not concern you, Commander"

"What should concern you is handing over my daughter before I destroy you and your pathetic little kiddie crew". As if on cue Elmira came out from behind Radu.

" Elmira ", shank yelled, " prepare to transport aboard my ship, so that I can destroy these fools once and for all, you are coming home with me"

"I am not", she replied.

A look of Horror spread accross his face as he noticed that she was holding Radu's hand.

"Get away from my daughter you Andromedan scum" he Hissed

Radu didn't move.

"I said get away from her Andromedan"

Still Radu did not move.

"Get away now or I'll bring you with her and make you my personal slave", He shouted one last time.

When Radu stood firm for the third time, shank hissed and said, "Sssso be it Andromedan"

Shank turned some dials on his console and began to laugh a blood chilling laugh.

A few seconds went by and nothing happened. Shank's face widened in horror as he realized what was happening.

"This...this can't be possible" Shank shouted, "Removing the royal teleportation chip from your body would have killed you instantly"

"I know that" Elmira replied, "That is why I had Suzee make a speacial arm band which
nullifies the effect of the chip"

Shank hissed in anger, "Fine" he shouted at her, "you will die with the rest of these weaklings"

"What" Elmira and the rest of the crew seemed to shout in unison.
 

Down in the docking bay Rosie had just finished repressurising the area.
She opened the docking bay doors and looked up at the officer standing before her.

He was tall at least five and a half to six feet tall, his hair was long, light blue and had a rainbow of colors in streaks down his long blue hair, he was Saturnian, But there was somthing about the
long blue hair and streaks that just didn't seem right, because saturnians all had short black hair with rainbow circles.

"Hi" she said cheerily, "My names Rosie, Rosie Ianni"

"Hello Rosie" He replied, I'm Ensign Sorin Yammichi, it's a pleasure to meet you"

(Wow) Rosie thought (he's really nice and he's cute to, Suzee would just die if she meets him) Rosie continued to stare at Sorin, until he cleared his throat,

"Ah-hem, Don't you think we should get to the command centre of the ship" He asked,
"I'm sure the Commander is going to have plenty of questions to ask me" (Not to mention the rest of the crew) he thought.

As they were walking Sorin reached out and touched the wall.
The wall began to glow and Sorin pulled his hand back.

"Wow" he exclaimed.

"What is it" Rosie asked.

"Well" he replied, "I touched the wall and it began to glow"

"Really, that's great" she replied, "that meens the Christa has mirged with you"
"She's accepted you as a member of the crew" she said cheerily.

Sorin's eyes widened in horror, "You meen this ship is...ALIVE"

"Well...yes, the Christa is a living ship" Rosie replied, still unaware of what the problem was"

(Oh no) thought Sorin (What have I done)

Suddenly Sorins eyes began to glow a bright red, and he winced as if in pain.
This starteled Rosie.

"Are you alright" she asked nervously, but instead of answering her question, Sorin simply asked, "Is there a telepath on board this ship"

Rosie looked bewildered, " Well yes" she replied, "Suzee is a telepath"

"Please" he cried, wincing in pain once more, "Please take me to her"
 
 

Back in the command centre the crew was doing all they could to avoid being Royaly vapourized by shank.

"Harlan" the Commander shouted, "get us out of here now"

"I'm trying Commander but the spung are everywhere"

"This is it, we're all gunna die" Bova said in his usual depressive manner, not sounding the least bit frightened.

Suzee turned to Harlan and shouted, "Harlan what about a blind hyper-jump"

Harlan looked at her, wide eyed , "Are you nuts" he shouted "if we make a blind hyper jump we could end up anywhere"

"Not to mention the fact that we could reapear in an astroid field, or even inside the core of a sun or planet" Bova reminded Suzee.

"So you'd rather stay here and get blasted by the spung" she yelled in reply.

She looked to Harlan who in turn looked to Radu who was trying to calm Elmira down,
he thought about the lives of his crewmen and friends.

"Prepare for a blind Hyperjump" he yelled.

Harlan hit several buttons on his console and the ships hyper engines began to
hum to life.

Two seconds later the ship was flying blindly through hyper space.

"Hang on" Harlan shouted.

Several seconds later the quiet void of space was peirced by the warp field of the Christa as she slowed to normal space.

In the command centre of the ship, the crew began to pick themselves up off the floor.
Harlan was the first to his feet and as he looked out the viewport he sighed in relief.

"Were ok" he said.

"I don't believe it" Bova said "we're alive"

Harlan looked over at Cat, helped her up off the floor and asked "You ok"

She smiled back at him and said "I'm alright"

Harlan looked over towards Radu and Elmira "You two ok buddy" he asked his friend,
Radu and Elmira both smiled weakly and nodded.

"Mr. Band" Harlans attention was drawn to the Commander. "That was very impressive flying, well done"

"Thanks Commander" Harlan replied, glad that he wasn't getting in trouble for taking such a huge risk.

They all turned as thay heard the jump tubes whirr. Rosie jumped out of the tubes,
and ran to Suzee.

"Suzee" She shouted "What is it Rosie" Suzee asked curiously as the little Mercurian
tried to get the words out through the panic in her voice.

"It's Sorin...Colapsed...telepath...needs help" "Slow down" Suzee cried
"I can't understand you" Rosie grabbed Suzee by the arm and began pulling her towards the jump tubes.

"Just come...come with me"she cried "Alright" Suzee replied, and followed Rosie down the jump tubes.

When Suzee came out of the jump tube at the other end, she saw something that scared her and exited her at the same time (You'll find out why it exited her later) standing...or rather slumping in pain before her was a tall man dressed in the traditional uniform of a Star Dog
and waring the rank of ensign. She noticed his hair and thought (Is he Saturnian or Eulosian)

She saw his eyes glowing bright red and realised right away what was happening.
Oh no (she thought, he's a telepath) "Rosie" she shouted. "We need to get him down to medlab right away.

"Suzee" Rosie asked. as they lay Sorin down on one of the beds in a seperate section in the med-lab. "Do you know whats wrong with him"
"Mabey" she replied. Then she asked "Rosie did he touch the walls at all"

"What, well yes once, on the way up to the Command post he stopped to touch the walls and they... "Thanks thats all I needed to know" Suzee replied cutting her off. "I need to be alone with him now, but you can monitor our vitals from the other room"

"But Suzee" Rosie asked "What's going on"
"I'll explain later" she said closing the door as she pushed Rosie out of the room.

"Oh god I hope I'm not to late" Suzee whispered as she looked down at Sorin sympatheticaly.
His eyes glowing even brighter than before.
"But don't worry" she said reassuringly "I'll do what I can" and an instant later she was pitting her mind inside this complete stranger.
 

Six hours later the Commander and Miss Davenport walked into Med-lab.
Rosie looked up as she heard the door open.

She smiled as she saw the two adults coming towards her. She knew the two were Romantically involved, and she was happy because they were happy. "Oh hi Commander, Mrs. Davenport"

"Hello Rosie" Mrs. Davenport replied
"How are they" the Commander asked.

"Thier both fine now" Rosie replied cheerfully, "Thier just resting"

"Can we speak to them" he asked.

"I guess" she replied.

"Good because we have some very important questions.

Rosie opened the door to the medlab resting area and led the two adults to the center of the room where Suzee and Sorin were both sleeping soundly. Rosie nudged Suzee a little until she woke up.

"Oh" she moaned "Does my head hurt"

"It will for a while" Rosie said softly, careful not to wake up Sorin to quickly.

"Suzee what happened" the Commander and Mrs. Davenport asked her.

"Well" she began "Our friend over their is a telepath and when he came on board the Christa and touched the walls he created a telepathic link between to living beings and the Christa generated a telepathic feedback which gave him all the information stored in the Christa's memory in a very short period of time, which can be extremley deadly to telepath, unless there's another telepath there to relive the mental pressure"

"Yes and I owe my life to you Suzee, thank you" Sorin said quietley

They all looked over at him, they hadn't noticed he was awake and sitting up in his bed.

"Ensign Sorin Yammichi reporting Commander" he said as he soluted.

"Welcome aboard Ensign" the Commander replied as he returned the solute, "It's a pleasure to meet you"

<Damn> the ensign thought <He's to nice, how am I going to tell this to a nice guy>

<Are you gunna tell him> Suzee asked <because you really should tell him, even if you don't want to>

<All right, all right> Sorin replied <I'll tell him>

"Commander Goddard" the ensign said sternly in his most authorotative voice, "Under UPP Stardog Law I have been ordered By Admiral Ross to invoke order 411"

The Commander's face grew cold. Mrs. Davenport took him by the Arm and asked "Seth what is order 411"

"Order 411, TJ is an order where in the ensign here has been commanded to relive me of my command and take control of the ship, and return it and it's crew to UPP Space" the Commander replied.

"Well that's simply obsured... TJ began but Suzee interupted her.

"Wait you two there's more, isn't there" she asked looking over to Sorin.

"You see" he replied smiling and faking erritation pointing over towards Suzee while looking at the Commander "That's what you get when you let somone in your head.

Suzee just looked away and blushed.

"But she's right" Sorin began "There is more, Commander, I Ensign Sorin Yammichi respectfuly refuse to carry out these orders"

The Commander and Mrs. Davenport didn't say anything but just stood there stunned.

"I expect that I shall be brought up on formal charges for dissobeying a direct order from a superior officer"

"I...I don't think that will be neccassary ensign" the Commander said smiling "We'll just say you forgot the order, OK ensign"

"Yes sir" the ensign replied smuggly, knowing that this was one battle they had both won.

"That's enough for now" Rosie Said to the Commander and Mrs. Davenport
"It's time for my patiants to rest"

"Right, well" the Commander began "We'll see you two later, and once again ensign welcome aboared"

After the others left Sorin turned to Suzee and smiled, "I'd like to thank you again Suzee, you really saved my life"

"Um... she replied "Uh... it was nothing really, I was glad to help"

Sorin looked at Suzee skepticaly, "Suzee I've seen your mind remember, false modesty is not your strong soute"

She just looked at him and blushed, (Damn she thought, he's so cute, and he has this really attractive mysterious air about him)

All of a sudden Suzee blushed even more.

(Oh god) she thought (I hope he didn't hear me)

She sighed in releif because Sorin didn't seem to notice.

She watched as he folded his arms and laid down on the bead.
She already new what he was up to, He was beginning a healing meditation.

It was amazing, she had just met this person yet she knew everything about him... Suddenly her mind began to fill with information that had not been there before.

(Whats that) she thought (wait a minute, This is incredible I had no Idea) "This is incredible" she said softly

"You see it to don't you" Sorin asked "You see the history of the ship, the layout of the areas you had no idea existed"

"Yes" she whispered.

A little while later the commander was in the comm-post when the door behind him opened. Sorin walked up behind the commander and said "Ensign Sorin Yammichi reporting for duty sir"

The commander nearly jumped out of his skin. "Geeze your just as bad as Thelma"

"Excuse me" Sorin asked, a little perplexed at his being compared to the ships android.

"Nothing" the commander replied. "Just a little ship wide joke I'll explain later" "Well we've refueled your ship and you can leave
any time you like"

Sorin thought for a moment (Mabey I should reconsider leaving, I mean hell I've got nothing else to look forward to except a five year journey alone back to U.P.P space, and there's something about this ship and crew, as if I was destined to be here or something)

<Mabey you were> <What, who said that> Sorin replied
telepathically. He looked around but Suzee was nowhere in sight.

<It was I> the voice said again <But who are you> Sorin asked.
<I am the ship, My name is Christa>

(Wow) thought Sorin (I'm actually communicating with the ship)

<You do not have to leave Sorin> The Christa said warmly <I have merged with you and we share a special bond with one another>

<Of course> he replied <When I touched the wall and you shared your thoughts with me you were not trying to cause a telepathic backlash
you were simply creating a mental link between us, Incredible>

<Yes, and I beleive there is a nother reason why you should stay,
A person on this ship the one you have shared minds with, she is far from home and lonely and she needs you, now more than ever>
<That is why you were brought here, fore nothing in the universe happens by accident>

(Christas right, I need to stay, this crew needs me, Suzee needs me) (My being brought here was no accident) <Thank you Christa, I beleive I will stay with you and the crew>

<Then I welcome you young Sorin, I welcome you to your new home>

"Commander"
"Yes" the commander replied
"With your permission I would like to saty on board as a permanient member of the crew"
"I see" said the commander said sternly "and if I let you stay will you be willing to follow my orders" The commander asked him suspicously.

"Of course commander, I'll follow your orders to the letter"

"Good" the commader replied "And will you attend classes like the rest of the crew"

Sorin looked at him curiously "Well commander I'm not sure what there is that Mrs. Davenport could teach me that I don't already know, but I'm willing to attend classes on the basis that there may be things that you've learned out here over the past two years that I don't know and would like to learn"

"Good" the commander replied with a smile "Than I'll have thelma show you to the boys bunkroom"

"Thank you commander" Sorin replied, and as he turned to leave the commander called after him and said "Oh and Ensign"

"Yes sir" Sorin asked.
"Welcome aboard"
"Thank you" he replied and walked of the bridge hiding the smile on his face.
