Absolute Yaoi... Closed!

Yes, you read that right. I've decided to close Absolute Yaoi for good. (However, I don't know that a couple of months from now I won't change my mind.) I have decided to close for a few reasons:

  1. I have no time to keep up with it. Between school, home, work and keeping up with a relationship... I have no extra time on my hands.
  2. I've just lost interest in keeping it up. It's just gotten to seem more like a chore than the fun it was when I first started this thing.
  3. I wasn't a good webmistress. I slacked on updates and often times I felt I came off rude to certain people over the last 3 years.
Now, this decision didn't come to me over night. I've been thinking about it for a good number of monhs. I did think about handing this over to someone else but decided against it as this was my baby and I really just want it closed.

The group and contest will stay up. You can find the group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/absoluteyaoi/ and you can find the contest at a new address http://ootw.2ya.com.

I'm sorry for the suddenness of this. I'm sorry I was such a procrastinator. I'm sorry I didn't get around to the next update or making the fic links work.

I did say that I may change my mind in a few months. But, that's only a maybe considering I will be working more and be doing a lot of stuff. Then, I leave for college at the end of August and I don't know how hectic tht will be.

Rzeznik, sorry for the sudden close. Thanks so much for your help and I will be emailing you.

Thanks to all the authors and artists. Without you guys, there's no way this site would have done as well as it did.

And finally, thank you to the people who visited. Especially the ones who came back time and again.
