The heritage of The American Restoration Movement are the leaders who hold the personal visions directly from their gods or angels, people like William Miller, Ellen G. White, Joseph Smith, Brigham Young: and, they adopt their ideologies into The Seventh Day Adventist and Mormon Church.
William Miller predicted Jesus was coming back in 1842, known as premellion. But, Jesus did not return in the way as he has said; so, Miller and his followers said it might be in the year 1844, known as postmellion. But, Jesus did not showed up the way as they have said, anyway. So, a Russian women writer Ellen G. White says, Jesus is now right in the heaven with us, known as the amellion. Three theories have been accepted in the Adventist churches, today. Mainly, the Adventist are the vagetarians. The Adventists are the most rapid grow church in the 20th century.
About Joseph Smith, he was to run for a politician in Illinois . An angel whose name is Mormon visited him and wanted him to built a church like the churches of the 5th century. He soon gained his friendship from a Bapatist whose name is Brigham Young. Smith allowed polygamy and political exercises in his church; because his idea was too radical, a mob killed him in Illinois. Brigham Young carried his idea and found the church of Mormon in Salt Lake City, in Utah. In 1891, the Superior Court found its pural marriage is illegal. Mormon Church is like Adventist that Mormon Church grow rapidly both national and international wide.
