Luther's troops supported Charles V to sock Rome in 1527. Henry I had wars with the Renaissance Popes in Italy. His son Henry II married to Catherine de Medici from Italy. Henry II injured in a sport game called Jeosta, and died in a brain surgery. His wife had 11 sons; but later their mommy, Catherine de Medici, killed them all.
In 1556, in her daughter Marguerite's wedding in Notre Dem, on an island in the north of French, many were killed or injured by the fight between Huguenots and Catholics.
Catherine passed the throne to Henry III, a Catholic gay, died in a cephrus disease, and he left no sons for the throne. So, a bourbon king Henry IX, who was the husband of Marguerite and who being converted to Catholic under the thread of a knife, when he came to the throne, he reconverted to Huguenots, again.
Henry IX (1589-1610) had many wives and hundreds of children. The mercantile number one: First, the collecting revenue by taxing the monarchies, giving Polete that the clergy positions down to the generations of the monarchs. Good for collecting money for the government in a short term but hurt the French economy in a long term. Sinecure (people who don't go to work but just pay the taxes to occupy the official position) supported the building of Luxemburg, which fountain in front of the building drained out the waters while water had already come to a shortage in France at that time). Second, the Edit of Nante, 1598, gave the military and political powers to Protestant, as a treaty to Luther in 1556 gave the military power only to the local lords.
The law of Edict, 1610, during the time of Louis XIII, abolished the military power to Protestant. Louis XIII personally had no idea how to handle the politics, gained the assistance from Richelieu (1624-1642); when Richelieu died in 1642, Louis XIII had to give up the throne to a five-years-old king, Louis XIV in 1643.
Louis XIV was bad at history studies when he was a child. He was ready to be a king when he was only twenty-years-old. As a divine right of king come into its power, the built of the court of Versailles was glorious, which was gravened with gold and precious stones; but it cost the money of the taxpayers. The poor had to sale cattle for payments while the rich had not to pay the taxes. When he was old, he suffered from disease. He often slept in the conference. And he made a wrong decision in the conference.
The War of Legal of Auguesburg
The Mercantile number two asserts the amount of gold and silver was limited, Louis XIV declared war against Lowlands for the prosperity of the countries in the Lowlands in 1689. As Span grew its strength in 1702-1714, the Treaty of Utrecht signed in 1713 that French lost war to the British-Spanish allies.
Parliament of the 18th Century in French
In 1715, Louis XV came to the throne as Louis XIV died in that year. Because of the hostile to Louis XIV from the public, the Parliament of French in the early 18th century worked slowly and inefficiently. Fuere was 70-years-old when he came into the office: he caused the unnecessary wars with British. He left his office when he was 90-years-old.
In the midst of the 18th century, Parliament played a role more like a power of check and balance than in the time of Louis XIV. The war with British in 1743 cost the money of the taxpayers. In the 1750s, French military support to Russia caused a national debt in French.
Maupeou Parliament using Valtire's idea attempt to tax on the middle and upper classes; but the nobilities see taxation degrading and eventually are not responsible for the reform. So, the taxation on the upper class failed.
So, Maupeou tried another way to collect the national revenue by giving more lands (ancient regime) to the new manorial lords in hope the taxation would come from the farmers. But, in comparing with wealth of English society that had been blessed by the industrial revolution, the manorial income did not pay off the living of a higher standard. And secondly, the French tradition looked down at the manorial lords; the new manorial lords refused to pay taxes, either.
In a conclusion, Moupeou had failed to collect the national revenue both from the upper class and the working class, the farmers particularly. The price of bread kept going up as the inflection and revolts kept going on. The price of bread reached to a first time high in French history in 1791. And the constitution of The Rights for the Man and Citizen was also signed in this year in Versailles.
Louis XVI came to the throne in 1775. He was a loyalist, using the old Parliament to the court, by which action of his has increased the atmosphere of the anti-loyalist. So the fighting are two sides, the loyalists and the anti-loyalists. The loyalists are the nobilities who refused to pay taxes; yet, they sat on the official position, operating the direction of war and military support to the foreigners. In the court of Versailles, the priests first sat in the third regime; then, the lawyers sat in the third regime; and finally, Louis XVI sat in the third regime, too. Louis XVI even lost his temper and sent troops to the court of Versailles.
At this time, in Paris, ten miles away from the court of Versailles, a great revolt began, the heads of policemen was cut with knifes and the bodies of the policemen was hanged on the walls. Louis XVI didn't know what to do, so he withdrew the troops from Versailles. But the revolts continued. Louis XVII was put into a prison. Louis XVIII sought to punish the disloyalties. Many turned to loyalists for peace because the revolts had turned into violence and purposeless.
Catherine of Russia criticized the French revolution cannibalism, for she thought the officers should do the revolution. A farmers' revolt had been in Russia in 1737, and the farmer were even more enslaved by the system after the revolt. Nevertheless, Catherine used Valtir's ideas and had strengthened the country into a first time the greatest in Russian history. Unlike Russia, the French Revolution directly ends the monarch of La Vois family in French history. The divine right of the king is not OK in this case.
At first, Napoleon's Who Sat in the Third Regime had not caught much attention from the public. In 1810, Napoleon's emergence in France from Italy gained a great welcome from the public. In 1799, Napoleon became the first council of French. In 1801, the Treaty of Luneville was made. In 1802, Napoleon became the first council for life. In 1804, Napoleon crowned himself the Emperor of French. In 1806, the system of trans continental was set. In 1808, he crowned his brether Joseph Bonaparte, King of Span. But, Joseph Bonaparte supported the British General to win the war in Peninsula, by which defeat Napoleon lost war to British in Waterloo Campaign in 1815.
