Yarnie's Pipe Pictures
1890's Meerschaum.  This meerschaum pipe from the 1890's was a present from my brother, CJ (Sinistiquil), for Christmas 2002.  That family reunion was the first time for us to get together for about six years and was our first chance to smoke pipes together.  The pipe is carved and depicts a wolf chasing a deer around the bowl.
Since I've got the webpage, I might as well use it to post pics of some (maybe eventually all) of my pipes.  Enjoy!
Bosi Smooth-topped Freehand.  I participated in the Stokers' Haven Secret Santa in 2002 and hit the jackpot by being assigned to Kirk Bosi.  As Secret Santas go, being Kirk's recipient is comparable to winning the lottery!  This is the pipe that Kirk sent me (along with a great selection of tobaccos) for Christmas.  Kirk is right up at the top of my favorite American pipe carvers (heck, favorite pipe carvers, period!).  Thanks, Kirk!
I call this one the "Regor Calabash."  It's an Aldo Velani, but what makes it the Regor Calabash is that it used to belong to my "twin separated at birth by 22-years and different wombs."  Early in 2002, Kirk Bosi set up a pipe pass--identical to a tobacco boxpass, except that he included several pipes of his own making (all used, but good examples of his work as he has improved as a carver).  When each recipient got the box, they were welcome to take any pipe in the box as long as they put in a replacement.  This was the first pipe that I took out and I fell in love with it immediately.  It was only later that I discovered that it had been put into the box by Regor, which only makes it that much more special.
Bob Ray Danish-style Freehand.  I was introduced to Bob Ray pipes by another Havenite, Mark (justpipes).  About the time I set up Stokers' Haven, Mark and I got together to smoke a bowl or two of tobacco and just visit awhile.  At that first meeting he showed me several Bob Ray pipes that he had in his collection and I was hooked.  Bob Ray is a local carver in the Raleigh area and sells all of his pipes through a local shop.  I passed up my first opportunity to get a Bob Ray (in the Bosi pipe pass) in order to get my first Bosi (see below) and the Regor Calabash (see above), but it was only a month later that I bought this one from Mark.  This is one of the best smoking pipes in my collection.

Bosi Danish-style Freehand.  This pipe came to me by way of the Bosi pipe pass.  Kirk told me that this is the third pipe he ever made.  It smokes like a dream (which is to say that it smokes just like a Bosi pipe should!).
