| Somewhere... Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi sits before the mirror as it goes blank considering it, from Alister's body language he was not going to hurry back.. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says outloud, "It may be that I would need to go to him." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi stretches lightly and smiles like a cat, mind you there were possibilities in entertainment he really was a handsome one. Alister_Okaye says to himself, "The road to Torgaine has always been a long one. It will be a few more days before I reach the outskirts of the desert..." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi frowns and stands up, moving to wardrobe, she dons her usual clothing; skin tight black leather straps and a long hooded cloak, Knee high boots. Twining her hair into a thick blade she moves to the Mirror and begins an incantation. Her voice rises upward as the mirror lengthens and widens to become the size of a doorway. Focusing, she searches again for the presence of Alister, circling out from where she had last contacted him. The mirror clears to reveal a clearing beyond the misty edges of the mirror. Alister_Okaye continues down the dirt road, the feeling of being watched returning. Alister_Okaye whispers, "Impatient still..." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, My voice rises to a final chant as I step through the portal towards where Alister's head tilts up sensing the gate.. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi steps through and allows it to close behind her. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says in a soft caressing tone, "Hello Alister." Alister_Okaye says, My horse comes to a stop Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Just thought I would pay you a visit, it gets sooo boring in the Temple." Alister_Okaye says, "Gailla...." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi leans against a tree and considers the man. Alister_Okaye holds head down, listening. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi approaches the man and rider and pauses near the saddle bags staring at them but not touching the one bulging in the shape of a book. Alister_Okaye says, "Couldn't you wait a few days?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "I knew you wouldn't hurry to us anytime soon. I have had new instructions.. already the companions are falling apart. I believe they may try to steal that thing back." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi looks at the pack in loathing. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "You know our Master. It is OK for you, you do not live in proximity to him." Alister_Okaye says, "They gave it of their own freewill. The companions know who I am." Alister_Okaye says, grins Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "He is getting cranky. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi raises an eyebrow though Alister cannot see. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says in a cool voice with an edge of disbelief, "Really?" Alister_Okaye hears the eyebrow raise Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "And why would they do that? Because they are afraid of you?" Let's the amusement show openly in her voice Alister_Okaye says, "They fear my reputation, dear." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi laughs openly at that. "Ahhh.. but I have it on a good source they did not know who you were, or at least the guardian didn't recognise you." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "You honestly don't believe that do you?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi looks at the pack, "Is it the book?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi reaches forward as if to touch the pack and withdraws as the bindings and the power of the light flares. Makes a face Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Why would they give it to you so easily?" Alister_Okaye says, "Now, now Gailla..." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi reaches up and strokes a hand along the arm, reaches down to stroke the burnt hand. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Pleasure and pain, yet you do not feel it. How strange. Do you ever feel pain Alister?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi pinches the burned hand Alister_Okaye says, I used too. Alister_Okaye smirks under the hood. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says with a touch of disappointment, "Ahhh well, there are other ways to feel." Alister_Okaye says, "Money being the one that comes to mind. Do you have it Gailla? My payment?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Payment? but do you not do it for the love of our Master?" Alister_Okaye chuckles Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Tut tut and you being an ex-Sokudo." Alister_Okaye says, "Hardly." Alister_Okaye grimaces under the hood Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "You should understand the meaning of loyalty.. ohh but I forgot... you were exiled...You have no loyalties, no honour." Smiles and cocks her head on the side considering Alister. "A shame." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "I have your money." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi reaches under her cloak and places a purse bulging on the pommel of Alister's saddle Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Still... do you not feel the pull of our Master Alister?" Alister_Okaye takes the saddle bag from the horse and tosses it in the air toward her Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "The ectasy of his power, the power of the book!" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi steps aside and regards the pack on the ground with loathing.. summons a demon with a snap of her fingers and orders it to pick up the book. Alister_Okaye says, "Even I know what ultimate power leads to Gailla." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "I feel pain and even though I like it Alister dear.." smiles... "the light is not meet my liking." Listens to the sudden screams of the demon in pleasure but bound by her, it cannot do little else but hold the book. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi licks her lips and moves closer to Alister again.. "Ultimate power leads to fulfillment Alister. In all ways." Shudders a bit with pleasure. Alister_Okaye says, "Nor mine..." Rubs his hand Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "And you could share it with me.." Strokes his arm again. Alister_Okaye says, "Gailla..." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi ignores the demon screams focusing on Alister. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Yes Alister?" Alister_Okaye says, "Let the past rest in the past." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi pouts. Then says, "Ahh but you were one of the best.." traces a finger along the arm, though she knows he cannot feel it. Alister_Okaye pulls his arm away and turns horse around Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi grins as he does so. "Our master will have more tasks for you Alister, the companions still need to be stopped. So that means we will be working closely together. Even without the book, their gathering of the icons can prevent us from victory." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi sneers, "Their puny weapons of power." Alister_Okaye says, "As long as money is supplied..." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "We must prevent them from reaching the icons." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi sighs, "Alister Alister.. where did your Sokudo scruples go?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "All for money?" Alister_Okaye says, "Icons? Bah, I would track them and force the companions to hand over the icons." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Your honour is worth nothing then.. no redemption for you my Alister." Laughs and slants a look at his face. Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "So they would give it to you like the book." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi sounds amused. Alister_Okaye says, "I'm a mercenary now Gailla." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "They have another avenue, they would never hand over the book so easily." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "How sad. Ahh well and you do not wish revenge upon the Sokudo?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Their captain is part of the quest. Strike at the head and demoralise them completely. She is on a mission for her emperor, he has placed all hope in her. That oaf Tiernon told me before he died." Alister_Okaye says, "Maybe they would rather deal with you than me?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "You could strike the Toshido family down for causing your downfall." Alister_Okaye laughs to himself Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "She is the last of the Toshido." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "I hear dear little Yasmin is afraid of magic.. Hmm maybe I shall play with her some time then give her to you." Alister_Okaye says, "The last uncorrupted, yes." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "If she dies the Sokudo will never redeem themselves." Alister_Okaye is silent for a moment "I have no need of her." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "But the death of the Family. The forever burying of the Toshido name. To see it wiped from the scrolls of Terasi." Alister_Okaye says, "The companions felt the book itself would stop me from taking it. They didn't think they would need to fight." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "NO I do not think that is right." Alister_Okaye says, "oh?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "They have something planned." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Noo..... I have felt at times the presence of the Chaos... the Book of Chaos away from the book itself.." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "What if the Book of Light does the same... what if the book is not even needed, but a receptacle for the power?" Alister_Okaye says, "You speak nonsense Gailla." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, Looks at Alister.. "Do I?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "You have not melded with the Book of Chaos as I have. You have not felt its essences......" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi's voice trails off with a sensuous sigh Alister_Okaye says, "Both of us can feel the power in the book of One. It's power could not be elsewhere." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi shrugs, "Perhaps. I am not convinced, but regardless. All the master has instructed me to ask you, is to burden the chosen, To impede their progress, the mirror of seeing informs me they are headed to Kantara Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Though the Grasslands brat and the stupid Drow have disapeared." Alister_Okaye says, "Kantara. Whatever for...?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "I did wonder why they put that Drow in the group... obviously he is a weak link." Alister_Okaye grins, "They've abandoned the companions already." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi grins. "Indeed they have." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Kantara, I have heard the icons reflect the elements of the world." Alister_Okaye says, "See Gailla, this will go easier than we thought." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "An icon must be there..." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Ahhh... the Sea Raiders.. do you still have ties to them?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "D you still deal with them?" Alister_Okaye says, "I haven't been to Kantara is many cycles..." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Contact them... Put some of them within the city of Kantara.. at the Delta... and patrolling the sea." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "They will be crossing the water.. that much I have seen.. what better than to have them slaughtered by the sea raiders?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi laughs. Alister_Okaye says, "What better indeed. Less flesh for my sword the better." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "See how well we work together Darling Alister...?" moves forward again.. Alister_Okaye says, "And you shouldn't keep your men waiting, right dear?" Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi nods. "Very well." Gailla_Shah_Ashanti_Bandroi says, "Men? Hmm I have had better men....."
