	In the early 1900's particularly in the 1920's African American literature are Music,dance and social commentary began to flourish in Harlem, a section of New York City. This African American cultural movement became know as The Negro Movement and later as the Harlen Renaissance. More than a literacy movement, the Harlem renaissance Renaissance. Jazz The most noticeable addition to music during this area stemmed from the Negro spirituals that were sung in previous centuries. These spiritual which were a racial characteristis would begin to envolve into a more formalized tupe of music jazz this form of music showed deceptive simlicity abd would continue to remain a large part of American culture into the present era. Jazz is played on the theory that an infinite amount of melodies could fit the chord progression of any composition. Jazz is an improcisational skill by the performed and the instrumentalist. The performed repeast the chord progression of a composition. Jazz music was the all time favorite back in those day it was about 1940's when Jazz was in style. In Harlem jazz music was extremly popular and influential. One of the most popular ideas was the way to play the piano called stride piano. From this style of playing the piano rose a jazz powehouse named Fatts Waller. Hi himself started yet another jazz technical called the boogie woogie. And that kind of music people like alot.
