Band is such an involved subject, sometimes it seems like it is a race against time. We are always on the go. Whether we are at practice, sectionals or at football and basketball games. It seems that there is not enough time in one day for a band geek.
Recently four representatives from the YCHS Band were chosen to go down to San Diego to participate in the Marine Corps Musicians Workshop. At the workshop there were trained in military marching and many other things. The four were Lisa M., DJ Heffley, Christopher Howard, and Marco Roldan-Leben. This year the Band is off to Canada where they will be preforming in the Victorian Day Parade in honor of the birthday of Queen Victoria.
This year Band Camp will not be done at YCHS, but at AK due to reconstruction at the school. Band Camp will be the week of August 18th and the times will be announced later.
