I am so sick of this multiculturalism movement. It has now gotten to the point that a white man has no history. No culture. No heritiage except for the one that is focused of by Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb.
Al Sharpton and the Rev. (whatever) Jackson have made created a mindset in the populous and mainstream media that tolerates intolerance. It is rediculous.
This is Latin history month. They have a deep and rich heritage. It is now part of many ciriculums to study about latin history during this time. The same for black history month. Even for womens history month. I am not saying that these are bad things, but if you can condone singling out a group of people at any one time, you do nothing but separate. Not unite. I have never seen anyone come together after they were made aware of just how much different they were from each other. Something really must be done.
I am not pretentious enough to say that a "White History Month" would work. I think it would fall like a wounded duck. But why not an Irish history Month, or an Italian history month. These people were persecuted too. They have a very rich and varied history. Why not study that? Because they were not enslaved perhaps? Or was it because there is not anyone grandstanding on an issue of racial inequality. I think it is high time to celebrate what has been the glue that holds this country together. Not try to break it down into groups. Celebrate the common ground. I want to be clear on this, I stil think it is very important to learn about the past, but not when alienation and resentment is the result.
I am a white male. I am the most evil creation alive. Apparently, I have owned slaves and kept people down all my life. Shocking I know, but it must be true. That is the attitude of many groups of people. I was watching the Dave Chappelle Show the other day. On DVD of course, and on it he said that he was still waiting for someone on Capital Hill to get him his reparations check. It is the opinion of some, although I will not name names (but thier initials are Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson) that believe that million and millions are owed to the black communities and that is why they still live in poverty today. I submit this to you AL and Jess, how about you just take the millions and millions that are payed to those in poverty every year in welfare checks and we'll call it even. Give me a break.
I love Bill Cosby. Talk about someone who sees the big picture. Here is a guy who is being called an "Uncle Tom" for trying to open some eyes out there. He spoke about education, and motivation. All these things that if taken to heart can really help out. Enter stage left (far left) AL and Jess. "He is detatched" they preach. On and on. It just makes me sick.
But I am just and evil white man. I must not understand what it was like to be a slave. But I guess ole Al and Jess know what it is like when they fly around in their Leer Jets dressed in Gucci dining at the Four Seasons. Must be rough. Way to go guys.
The point I am trying to make is this. All these programs to further a country that does not see race, does nothing but separate them. When you have any one month dedicated to a certain demographic, it alienates people. You end up with cynical persons such as myself. I hope I did not offend anyone, but if I did, I really don't care.
