2nd June 2003
Berlin, Knaack Klub
Audience: maybe 100

12th June was the Day, the Yeahs should be play for they canceled date a few
months ago, and simultanious the first time in Germany, I believe.. The Knaack
Klub was the tiniest thing where Ive ever seen a live concert, but after Ive
heard about the locations where the Yeahs play in the US and GB, I was lucky to
have the chance to see them before they grow big.
Before the support (Boy from Brazil) Nick Zinner walked inbetween the small
audience and talked to everybody who liked to. He stood for a while at the Merch
and watched some guys buying their bunny shirts/stickers/Badges.
After the „Boy from Brazil“ which is a Punk-Karaoke Performer (he was very
entertaining, especially after he chosed me to touch, kiss and hit), there was
the first time I saw Karen O and Brian chase enter the room. As you will see
soon, the new creations of Karens clothes were great. A wasted-looking brown
Babydoll on which where different types of things  glued/pinned on.  To this she
got the obligatory Fishnets, these times in Orange. Nick Zinner was totally in
Black like every time Ive seen him. Brian chase looks for me like a greece guy
from a german soap opera called „lindenstrasse“.
The set they played was awesome, because they played everything form the first
EP and the Master disc, and the best from „fever to tell“. The only thing Ive
missed was Y Control, but they played maps, modern romance, date with the nite,
rich, black tongue, pin, and everything else, plus a jammy something I didnt
know and some nu songs where I dont know the names. Any Highlights? Every song
wasnt just a highlight, it was an experience I wouldnt forget any time in my
life, and I am so fucking glad that I saw them in such a tiny, personal location
like the Knaack in Berlin. I dont think I need to tell about every song, because
it was undescribeable. Go see them, and never forget them.
