Our Mission statement contains our press release regarding Wednesday's action, and will be added to as more Munchkin activities occur. The Nuclear cycle has a brief run-down of the general issues surrounding the nuclear industry in general. It is a good place to start if you don't know much about uranium mining, or feel confused when politicians start talking about low, medium and high level nuclear waste. The Yellow cake road site is trying to raise awareness about the broader nuclear issues surrounding the waste dump. We are not trying to provide a comprehensive resource on this rather complex subject. The links listed on this page should be invaluable to anyone who wants to become more educated about general nuclear issues. |
This is an `awareness raising' site. The Munchkins are attempting to raise the general knowledge of South Australians about nuclear issues, in particular we are trying to show that the proposed nuclear waste dump that will be situated in South Australia is part of a broader issue - that of the general nuclear cycle. It is not enough for South Australians to oppose the dump, we need to campaign for an end to Australia's involvement in the entire nuclear cycle.
