Supreme Court. There are seven Justices: Thomas J. Moyer (R) (Chief), Terrence O'Donnell (R), Judith Ann Lanzinger (R), Evelyn Lundberg Stratton (R), Maureen O'Connor (R), Paul E. Ohio SenateThere are 33 state senators, each representing about 330,000 people. At present there are 22 Republicans and 11 Democrats. Each is limited to two four-year terms. Odd-numbered districts will be put to a vote in 2006: 1st District - Fulton, Williams, Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert Counties. Incumbent Lynn R. Wachtmann (R-Napoleon) is term-limited and was elected to the Ohio House, 75th Dist. The Democratic candidate got 32.06% in 2002.
3rd District - Franklin County. Democratic candidate got 42.13% in 2002.
5th District - Darke, Montgomery, and Miami Counties. Democratic incumbent got 52.46% in 2002.
7th District - Warren and Hamilton Counties. Democratic candidate got 28.64% in 2002.
9th District - Hamilton County. Democratic incumbent was appointed in November 2005 to replace Mark Mallory, now Mayor of Cincinnati. Mallory was unopposed in 2002.
11th District - Lucas County. Democratic incumbent is Minority Whip, was unopposed in 2004, got 72.42% of the vote in 2002.
13th District - Lorain, Huron and Seneca Counties. Incumbent Jeffry J. Armbruster (R-North Ridgeville) is term-limited. Morano, registered nurse and SEIU member, got 49.80% in 2002.
15th District - Franklin County. Democratic incumbent got 73.04% in 2002.
17th District - Clinton, Fayette, Pickaway, Highland, Ross, Vinton, Pike, Jackson, Gallia and Lawrence Counties. Democratic candidate got 46.12% in 2002.
19th District - Richland, Ashland, Morrow, Knox and Delaware Counties. Democratic candidate got 32.42% in 2002.
21st District - Cuyahoga County. Democratic incumbent and Minority Leader C. J. Prentiss (D-Cleveland) is term-limited.
23rd District - Cuyahoga County. Term-limited Daniel Brady (D) resigned to take a muicipal post in Cleveland. State Rep. Dale Miller was appointed to replace him. Brady got 67% in 2002.
25th District - Cuyahoga County. Democratic incumbent Eric Fingerhut (D-Shaker Heights) is term-limited and was an early candidate for Governor. He got 84.61% in 2002.
27th District - Summit County. Democratic candidate got 47.05% in 2002.
29th District - Stark County. Democratic candidate got 42.23% in 2002.
31st District - Licking, Fairfield, Perry, Pickaway and Hocking Counties. Incumbent Jay Hottinger (R-Newark) is term-limited and was elected to the Ohio House, 71st Dist. He was unopposed in 2002.
33rd District - Tuscarawas, Carroll, Stark and Mahoning Counties. Incumbent Robert F. Hagan (D-Youngstown), Assistant Minority Whip, is term-limited and was elected to the Ohio House, 60th District. He got 68.04% in 2002.
Ohio House of RepresentativesThere are 99 representatives, each representing 110,000 people. The Republicans hold 60 seats, Democrats 39. Each is limited to four two-year terms. All seats are on the ballot. 1st District - Columbiana County. Incumbent Chuck Blasdel (R-East Liverpool), Speaker Pro Tem, lost his bid for U.S. Congress, 6th Dist. Democratic candidates got 49.48 in 2004, 43.22% in 2002.
2nd District - Delaware County. Democratic candidate got 31.14% in 2004. 3rd District - Wayne County. Republican incumbent is Majority Whip. Democratic candidate got 34.45% in 2004.
4th District - Allen County. Incumbent John R. Willamowski (R-Lima) is term-limited.
5th District - Fairfield County. Incumbent Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) is running for Ohio Senate, 31st Dist. 6th District - Wood County. Democratic candidate got 37.5% in 2004.
7th District - Cuyahoga County (Euclid, Richmond Heights, South Euclid and Cleveland Ward 11). Democratic incumbent Yuko got 73.71% in 2004.
8th District - Cuyahoga County. Democratic incumbent Lance T. Mason (D-Shaker Heights), Assistant Minority Whip, is running for State Senate, 25th Dist. He was unopposed in 2004.
9th District - Cuyahoga County (Cleveland Heights, University Heights, East Cleveland). Incumbent Claudette J. Woodard (D-Cleveland Heights) is term-limited. She filed to run for the Ohio Senate in the 21st District and then withdrew.
10th District - Cuyahoga County (Bratenahl and Cleveland Wards 8, 10, 13, 15 and part of 14). Incumbent Shirley A. Smith (D-Cleveland) is term-limited and is running for State Senate in the 21st District. She was unopposed in 2004.
11th District - Cuyahoga County. Incumbent Annie L. Key (D-Cleveland) was unopposed in 2004. She ran unsuccessfully for State Senate, 21st Dist.
12th District - Cuyahoga County (Garfield Heights, Maple Heights and Cleveland Wards 1, 2 and part of 3). Democratic incumbent DeBose won 85.95% in 2004.
13th District - Cuyahoga County (Lakewood and Cleveland Wards 17, 18 and part of 14). Democratic incumbent Skindell was unopposed in 2004.
14th District - Cuyahoga County (Brook Park, Parma Heights and Cleveland Wards 19, 20 and 21). Term-limited incumbent Dale Miller (D-Cleveland) was appointed to the State Senate, 23rd Dist., and has been replaced by Democratic primary winner Mike Foley.
15th District - Cuyahoga County (Brooklyn, Linndale, Middleburg Heights and Parma). Democratic incumbent DeGeeter got 67.49% in 2004.
16th District - Cuyahoga County (Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Rocky River and Westlake). Incumbent Sally Conway Kilbane (R-Rocky River) is term-limited. Democratic candidate got 38.26% in 2004.
17th District - Cuyahoga County (Bentleyville, Brecksville, Broadview Heights, Chagrin Falls, Glenwillow, Hunting Valley, Independence, Lyndhurst, part of Meyfield Heights, Moreland Hills, Oakwood, Pepper Pike, Seven HIlls, SOlon, Valley View and Walton Hills). Incumbent Jim Trakas (R-Independence) is term-limited and is running for Secretary of State. Democratic candidate got 46.8% in 2004.
18th District - Cuyahoga County (Berea, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, North Royalton and Strongsville).
19th District - Franklin County. Republican incumbent is Majority Floor Leader. Democratic candidate got 34.18% in 2004.
20th District - Franklin County. Democratic candidate got 44.47% in 2004.
21st District - Franklin County. Incumbent Linda Reidelbach (R-Columbus) will not seek reelection. This district went for Kerry by 52%, and Reidelbach won reelection by less than 55% in 2002 and 2004. Democratic candidate got 47.39%.
