It's been many years since the Cunninghams lived in the Hughes-Cunningham House. On this page is information we have received form present-day descendants of Hugh and Agnes Cunningam. If you have information to contribute, please contact David and Wendy Benton: YellowYarrow@Yahoo.Com | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Another family we've heard from is Bob and Carol Cunningham. Bob is a descendant of Samuel Cunningham and Charity Shields. Living in California during the winter, it's their summertime project that's fascinating: they are totally restoring a log house in Missouri. It was built by Bob's great-grandfather who was Hugh's great-grandson. A recent report said they had a 100-ton log house suspended in mid-air while they built a new foundation under it! This winter when they have time to breathe we should get some interesting pictures and notes from them! I believe they also have or know about some artifacts dating from the Hugh Cunningham era. Bob and Carol stopped by here last spring and our son Jesse gave them a tour. We were sorry we missed them and look forward to their next visit. |
