This year's Bon Odori was held on July 13 at the Matsushita Field in Shah Alam, Selangor. We went there in a group and arrived at about 5pm when they have just opened the gate. The festival is only starting at 7pm. 2 hours of waiting but it was worth it! So many people in they beautiful and colourful Yukata (Japanese summer Kimono). From Children to teenager to adults. One Japanese lady caught our attention. She wore a Baju Kebaya that was made from the Yukata's cloth. She looks so nice in it! We took some photos with her and sitting down on the field chatting. Look carefully at some of the photos here and you'll be able to spot her. Demo sa, sono onna no hito no namae wo wasurete kiita. Zannen deshita ne... Anyway, when the festival finally starts, we had so much fun!! ^_^ Dancing in our little circle somewhere at the end of the field and the little circle soon became bigger and bigger and bigger... That's because after watching us, more and more people join in and follow the simple dance steps. There were 4 different dances. I can't remember what are the names of these dances. There were 3 parts of the bon odori. Wuaa... I can't remember when was the last time I had this much of fun!! We dance from the beginning till the very end. Saisho kara saigo made, odotte, odotte, odotta. We dance for the next 2 hours. Didn't even feel tired until we finally sat down and relaxing. For those who came: minna, ano hi ha hontou ni omoshirokute, tanoshikute, sugokatta yo! Ureshikatta! ^_^ Arigatou ne, Saiful-kun, Takumi-kun, Akari-kun, Hikaru-cyan, Sakura-cyan, Sakura-cyan no odori sensei, Sakura-cyan no tomodachi, Bibi-cyan, Bibi-cyan no imoutosan, Ann-cyan, Kaori-cyan, Kaori-cyan no tomodachi, and also to all the other strangers who joined in the fun. Arigatou!!! ^o^ Oh, ya, did I tell you guys (for those who wore Yukata) that you look really good and kawaii in the Yukata! Next year, we'll go for the festival together again and have more fun! |
