Introducing YDF
BS"D
"And Judah will dwell forever and Jerusalem from generation to generation."
(Yoel 4:20)

We believe that it is our religious obligation to stay in YESHA (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) and the Golan, even if the government of Israel decided to withdraw from these areas. This belief is based on consultations that we have conducted with various rabbinical authorities, as well as rabbinical rulings by various gedolei hador. We believe that our steadfast refusal to betray the Land of Israel and the G-d of Israel will sway the balance of heavenly judgement in favor of the Jewish people, while betrayal of G-d and the Land of Israel in face of the pressure by the Gentiles will bring untold sufferings upon Am Yisrael.

IN ORDER FOR US TO KEEP YESHA AND THE GOLAN JEWISH, WE MUST TAKE THE FOLLOWING PRACTICAL STEPS:

1. Public awareness/public relations campaign:

Within YESHA---strengthening the commitment to stay and dealing with any theological/practical obstacles
Within the Green Line---convincing the average Israeli that it is in his interests that control over YESHA remains in Jewish and not Arab hands
World-wide Jews should pressure Jewish organizations such as UJA, Bonds, Federations and the politicians in their countries to let the Jews stay in YESHA.

2. Preparing alternative infrastructure:

Water storage/purification/drilling equipment
Food stockpiles
Energy-generators
Defense equipment
Emergency medical equipment, including ambulances
Vehicles capable of bringing in food and supplies
Volunteers-experts in their fields for advice and actual implementation

3. Immediate morale/financial help for Jewish communities in YESHA now:

Organizing trips there by Diaspora Jews
Sister cities-pen pals
Supporting the needy
Care packages-toys, first-aid supplies, etc.
Psychological counseling for children and adults
Social activities for children and adults
Basic defense equipment
Chapters/contacts throughout the world to promote the idea of staying and to enlist support

There are other organizations such as the YESHA Council who speak of staying, but unfortunately, other than demonstrations, the people in YESHA don't see any real large-scale effort being made to realize this idea. There are various reasons for this that we can point to in face-to-face meetings.

We will be sending a small delegation to the US in the month of May that will further explain our plans in more detail. We appreciate any support that you can give to them enabling us to do this.
