The beginning of the month is a very special time. The fourth meeting of YES Scotland was held on the 2 August at the Central Hotel in Glasgow. Once again a group of like-minded individuals also known as the YES Scotland Committee produced another outstanding meeting.
The
music started up, the Committee members started dancing and in came over 50
smiling faces ready for a fantastic evening of fun, learning, motivation and the
opportunity to meet lots of new friends.
The
Atmosphere was amazing. As the room
was filled with everybody dancing, the Chairman of YES Scotland, Mike Berry,
introduced the evening and brought on our first speaker Lynn May.
Lynn is a Tony Robbins trainer and came especially to our meeting to
share her thoughts and expertise on Values.
She talked about how we shape our destiny and how this directly
correlates with the different values that we hold.
There was lots of audience participation and great presentation
materials, which complemented what Lynn was saying.
After
learning so much from Lynn, it was time for a break and also time to reflect and
meet new friends.
As
the music started and the dancing got underway, everyone did a conga around the
room. The energy levels were 100%.
What better way to introduce our next speaker for the evening Tim Ivison.
Tim is Immediate Past Chairman of YES London.
He has just completed a run lasting a week across the Sahara Desert and
ran what felt like the equivalent of 2 marathons a day across the sand in
searing heat. Tim wanted to share
his experiences with us and one of the clearest things that came across was that
the only way Tim managed to get to the end of the Trek was by focusing on the
next step. The presentation completely enthralled and motivated us as he took us
along his amazing journey step by step.
As
the meeting drew to a close Erick Rainey did a fantastic closed eye process
using some great visualisations that reminded us of all the great things we had
learned that evening.
What
an outstanding meeting we had and we’re getting ready to do it all again on
the 6th September in Edinburgh.
JACK BLACK is our special guest.
