YES GROUP
MEETING – 7TH JUNE 2003
An
encouraging turnout of 37 people, including the very young and the very young
at heart, attended our third meeting at the New County Hotel, Perth.
First up
was the clown Stephen “Dingle Fingle”
(without a red nose) who shared the story of his journey into clown-hood. He
soon got us warmed up and monkeying around, urging us to let go of our
embarrassment and just have fun. We were then treated to an impressive display
of unicycle prowess as Stephen whizzed round the room at great speed. It was a
brave (and a little nervous) Leanne who put her trust in Stephen’s hands as he
continued to cycle around with her on his shoulders. The only consistent
comment from the audience was “more please, Stephen….”

Brannon then introduced us to the work of Brandon Bays and The Journey process. After giving us
thorough guidance in the process, we paired up with a buddy and went on a
“physical journey”. This led us on a journey inside our bodies and emotions to
discover the root cause of a presenting issue in our lives. The process took us
to a campfire where we could resolve, forgive and heal our past hurts.
Most attendees chose to participate fully in the process as both facilitators and journeyers. Much discussion was generated and nobody seemed to want to go home! It was well after 11p.m. before many departed. The meeting ended gently and quietly, unlike our typical high energy close. This serves as an indication of how the meetings are likely to vary depending on the speakers and the nature of their material.
