What is HTML?
HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language) is the simple and basic language that web pages are built in.
How did you make those colored borders?
With the <table> command. It's a rather lengthy process. Look at the sorce codes you'll see.
Copyrighted? I can still take your pages and put them on my own site. Can't I?
No. At best you could lose your Geocities site, your Yahoo! account, and your Yahoo! mail. Worst you could be convicted of a Felony.
What do you make your images with?
Paint Shop Pro 6, and Animation Shop 2.
Will teach me HTML?/I keep forgeting the HTML codes what should I do?
Y!GeoHelp does provide a HTML key that lists some basic HTML codes. It won't teach you HTML, but it's a good resource.
How do you make the < and > caracters on the page?
< and > caracter are used to write HTML and are hidden from sight, so you can't display them directly on a web page. However you can use < for < and > for >. LT and GT stand for Less Than and Greater Than.
What program do you use to write your pages
Just Notepad. Although I wish some one would make a marginless word processor designed for writing HTML. Humm...
But I don't know HTML and I'm too busy to learn.
Actualy HTML is the easiest computer language, but even if don't know HTML, there are many programs that will write your HTML for you. Geocities provides the Basic page editor that will create your page for you, Yahoo! wizzards which gives you the simplest way of makeing a page I have ever seen, or the best of all Page Builder. Yet even will all these I will still prefer and recomend writing your own HTML.
Can I Use Front Page with Geocities?
Yes thanks to the Sever Extensions you can use Front Page.
