We have already seen how dreams about death can leave us with a feeling of real fear when we wake up from them, but they actually indicate a positive frame of mind. A dream about death in fact can free us from a conflict or problem that has been troubling us.

               Of course, there is no single, absolute interpretation of any one dream which applies to everyone. In most cases, situations and symbols can be interpreted along broad lines, and then their meaning is enriched by the purely personal associations they have for the dreamer so that they can be "used" as a way of dealing with reality.

               Many dreams about death reveal aggressive tendencies, just as we have seen that dreams about violence do. There are also dreams about death which are closely linked with sex, in particular the idea of sex without love.

               " I was standing in a garden. Not far from me there was a man with his back turned towards me. All of a sudden, he turned round and smiled at me. In between us there was a table with a gun on it : it looked like a pistol, but bigger than a usual one. He came over towards me. A he passed by the table, he bumped into it. The gun spun on the table. when it stopped spinning, it went off. I felt myself being hit by the bullet and i fell to the ground."

                 If the dream was analyzed through the personality of the dreamer and her psychological situation, it would give a clear picture of part of her life she had no other way of expressing.
