LOCKER ROOM SECURITY AND LOCKS Students are advised to:

- not give anyone the combination to his/her lock - double check to make sure the lock is securely fastened - not leave large amounts of money or valuables in locker - place all items in his/her assigned locker, securely fastened during class - not place locks on unassigned lockers - notify instructor of theft - notify instructor if his/her lock or locker is not functioning properly Locks may be purchased for $5 from the student store. These locks are for students to keep

ABSENCE/MAKE-UP POLICY

P.E. is a class that is participation oriented therefore consistent attendance is important and does affect a student's grade.  Absences due to school activities do not count against a student's grade as long as a "pre-arranged" was signed by the teacher. A pre-arrange will not be signed by the teacher if the student has an "F" in the class. Athletes who are in their YHS season of sport do not need to make up school absences unless the absence was a truant.  Make-up days will be provided during lunch for those wishing to make up absences.  Absences must be made up within two weeks.  Those wishing to make-up an absence must schedule the make-up time with the instructor during lunch.  It is the studentŐs responsibility to contact the instructor.

OFF-LIMITS

Students are not allowed in the gym or cafeteria until an instructor is present.  Students should stay out of the locker rooms except when dressing for class. Students must remain between the gym and the locker room doors after dressing out for class, before the instructors leave the locker rooms, and after class before the passing bell rings.  Students who disregard this will be assigned detention hours.

PARENT CONNECT GRADEBOOK ACCESS

Parents have access to student grades, assignments, and attendance via the computer.  Contact the office for your individual account and password.  The PE instructors will notify you, through this system, regarding individual student assignments, student participation, student non-dress, and other issues regarding student grade.
