圍講維港」 視覺藝術對話

以維多利亞港為主題的大型視覺藝術展覽,將於412日至30日在馬頭角道63號牛棚藝術村舉行。

 

主辦機構「藝術公社」指出維港填海問題引發廣泛討論,社會亦重新關注香港的重要資產維多利亞港,所以希望藝術創作者亦能透過繪畫、攝影及裝置等作品,展開一場視覺藝術對話,發掘維港不同的面貌,探討維港的種種問題,而觀眾亦可透過現場塗鴉直接參與對話。

 

參與展覽除協辦團體「香港攝影記者協會」及策劃組織A-infinity的成員外,特邀多位著名藝術家以維港為題發揮創意展出作品,包括王純、甘志強、白禮仁、李尤猛、徐天潤及顏磊等。開幕禮期間亦會安排行為藝術表演及即塗鴉,令是次藝術對話活動更加豐富,歡迎新聞界派員採訪。

背景資料

藝術公社受藝術發展局資助的非牟利藝術團體,1996年成立,一直致力推動本地藝術發展及國際文化藝術交流活動

 

香港攝影記者協會1989年成立,是本港唯一的新聞攝影從業員正式組織,擁有會員約九十人,來自全港幾乎所有的主要報章和重要刊物,近年每年均有舉辦全港新聞攝影比賽。

 

A-    infinity一群藝術工作者所組成的義工團隊,,去年曾參與策劃「路過牛棚」  巡迴展覽及「特首造像比賽」等活動

 

特邀藝術家

1.          甘志強  著名裝置藝術家,作品多次入選香港及國際藝術雙年展,99年獲香港藝術發展局視藝發展

2.          白禮仁 (Robert OBrien) 蘇格蘭籍畫家,移居本港近30年,長期從事藝術教育工作,曾任教演藝學院、香港視覺藝術中心及北京師範大學珠海校區國際傳媒設計學院等

3.          李尤猛 香港著名畫家,多次入選香港當代藝術雙年展,長期從事藝術教育工作,先後任教中大藝術系、中大校外進修學院等

4.          徐天潤著名畫家,多次入選香港當代藝術雙年展,95年開始,作品多次獲國際拍賣行拍賣

‘Art Chat on Habour’

-         A dialogue with visual arts to discover new facets of Victoria Habour

 

An unprecedented multi-media exhibition of visual arts to celebrate the Victoria Harbour will open on from 12 to 30 April 2004 in the Cattle Depot Artist Village, Ma Tau Kok Road. Members of the press are cordially invited to cover the opening ceremony at 2:30 pm on 12 April 2004.  

 

Officiating at the opening ceremony include Legislative Council members, the Honourable Bernard Chan and the Honurable Cyd Ho Sau-lan, and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Chairman, Mr Darwin Chen.

 

The exhibition is organized by the Artist Commune, a non-profit-making organization devoted to promoting visual arts locally. A spokesperson for it said that the exhibition aims to facilitate an interchange of ideas among participating artists and the audience to discover new facets of the Victoria Harbour. “The Habour is an invaluable asset to us. Current discussions over reclamation have led us to a rethink of its value and meaning. Through this exhibition, artists of different backgrounds want to stage a direct dialogue with Hong Kong people to exchange their ideas and feelings, ” he noted.

 

On show will include paintings, photographs and installations newly created by the following six prestigious artists from Hong Kong and the mainland as well as members of the two co-organizing groups, the 90-strong Hong Kong Photographic Journalist Association and A-infinity, an art group of 13 amateur painters.

 

1.          Mr Wong Shun-kit – a local multi-media artist, who was awarded the Artist of the year in 1997, and is now Chairman of the Visual Arts Committee of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council 

2.          Mr Kum Chi-keung – a local artist in installations, whose creations have been shown in Hong Kong Biennial Art Exhibitions

3.          Mr Li Yau-mang– a local painter and art educator

4.          Mr Robert O’Brien – a Hong Kong-based Scottish painter and art educator

5.          Mr Tsui Tin-yun – a local painter, whose creations have been shown in Hong Kong Biennial Art Exhibitions

6.          Mr Yan Lei – a Beijing multi-media artist, whose creations have been shown in Biennial Art Exhibitions of Beijing, Shanghai and Venice
