故事簡介:

今年暑假，媽媽因為要專心找工作，所以把我放逐到「深山外婆」處。我從來也不曾見過我外婆，因為連我媽媽也好像不曾見過她似的。我只知道她是一個啞子，至於其他，我什麼也不知道。

我和媽媽不知坐了多久火車，再轉坐了一部十分簡陋的小巴，搖了多個小時，終於上到山了。回定神來，抬頭一望……什麼！屋呢？人呢？這裡比我所想像的鄉下更「鄉下」，落後不堪。「深山外婆」居住的四周十里無人，房子只用草木搭建，沒有自來水，只有一口井；沒有煤氣，只有乾柴；沒有浴室，只得戶外茅廁；沒有床褥，只睡地蓆；有電視，沒天線……還有更多不可思議的東西。至於我那位「深山外婆」，她已經老得一隻牙也沒有了，身軀彎彎的，比我還矮小。

悶！悶！悶！除了悶，還是悶。就連最不幸的事情也發生了，我的摯愛Game Boy竟然無電！我問外婆拿錢買電池，但她只不斷用手在胸前打圈，究竟是什麼意思？我只知道我要電池！

Synopsis

This is the story of a 7-year-old boy, "Sang-woo", born and raised in the big city, and his mute grandmother, who has spent her whole life in a small rural village. Forced to stay with his grandmother, Sang-woo learns about the ups and downs of life. Being a city boy, used to the benefits and luxuries of the modern world, he comes into conflict with a person whose soul is so close to nature. Mother nature, like his grandmother, is silent and patient. She never argues and she gives in to others' demands. Nevertheless, she has an inner strength and a shoulder to cry on in time of need. The grandma of nature may wield to the whims of her grandson, representing the material world, but she moves him in the end. The film creates the emotional leeway for us to reminisce over the wisdom of life and our most cherished resource - nature¡K
