誰是奧桑？

電影人才輩出，但奇才卻十年一遇，70年代有法斯賓達，8, 9字頭有艾慕杜華，到千禧年發現了法蘭索瓦奧桑！1967年生於巴黎,，被譽為法國影壇最耀目的一顆導演新星，這位靚仔導演的確極具星味，三十出頭，已有十年以上拍片經驗，而且系出名門，不單止是電影碩士，90年入讀法國最著名的電影學院La FEMIS導演系，開始了他以超8、錄像、16米厘、與35米厘等形式拍攝各類影片的生涯，自96年憑短片<講真個句>贏得法國影評人大獎開始，作品便橫掃各大小影展多個獎項，康城、威尼斯、柏林、歐洲電影節屢獲殊榮，奧桑的電影才華在國際影壇成績驕人！

奧桑作品玩盡不同類型風格，青春、暴力、驚慄、愛情、甚至歌舞場面都難不倒他。’性’是他作品永恆的藥引，片中經常出現男女演員全裸鏡頭，赤條條的身體就像他的電影語言一樣坦率開放，無遮無掩。而同性戀，雙性戀角色更是家常便飯，就如片中其他異性戀角色一樣，七情六慾無多無少。有人問他作品是否不道德？他的答案是：「沒有道德和不道德的標準，一切都在標準之外！」

兩性（或同性）間的慾望支配，壓抑和過激的感情扭曲，以至用死亡‘超渡’真愛，都是他作品常見的主題，奧桑基本上是一個有愛無類，喜歡談情說性，有型而又Camp得起的奇才。（P.S. 不要再追問他的性向，一早出櫃的他最討厭美國傳媒經常問他‘係唔係？’，在法國，從來無人過問！）

The five short films selected here are Ozon’s earlier works which foreshadow the director’s key motifs on sexuality, death and the deconstruction of family. X2000 (1998/ 5 mins): the beginning of the millennium is unveiled in a totally silent world, with two couples naked asleep in an empty skyscraper apartment, and a third couple making love in the opposite building. Truth or Dare* (Action, verite/1994/ 4 mins): four teenagers play a game of love and chance, thus discovering the reality of sexuality. A Summer Dress (Une robe d’ete/1996/ 15 mins): a summer dress moves from its original female owner to a gay boy she makes love to in the woods. A cheeky and provocative film about ambivalence and sexuality. Little Death (La petite mort/1995/ 26 mins): a difficult father and son relationship seems to get reconciled only when the father is hospitalized. It is not difficult to see Ozon’s films are influenced by great directors -sometimes adapting a similar filming approach, sometimes visiting a similar theme, or, simply re-interpreting a classic piece. His often-referred directors are Hitchock, Chabrol, Fassbinder, Sautet, Tavernier, Almodovar and more. Who is Francois Ozon?

François Ozon was born in 1967 in Paris. He graduated with a Masters degree in cinema, then attended the prestigious school of cinema FEMIS, from then on he never stopped filming, producing one to two films a year, all selected by short film festivals worldwide. These include A Rose between Us, Truth or Dare, Bed Scenes and Little Death, on which he began his collaboration with Fidélité Productions. In 1995, he turned to documentaries and directed a film about the politician Lionel Jospin, just before the French presidential elections. He was awarded with a " Leopard de demain " in 1996 at Locarno for A Summer Dress, a provocative and sunny evocation of ambivalent teenage sexuality.

Without doubt, Ozon is France’s most daring and inventive new director – none other has so boldly explored subjects like incest, murder, sexuality, suicide, sadomasochism and voyeurism. With his challenging features and numerous shorts to his credits, Ozon has used his unique style in genres as diverse as psychological drama, comedy, sitcom, family drama, crime story, horror and the fairy tale. As critic Claire Vasse says, François Ozon is "inspired by a high and demanding idea of film.
