One must be self-confident and always think that one can solve the problem. Never think that the questions are too hard for one. Especially on tests, teachers do not give out questions which could be solved. Try many different ways and one will have the answer.
Secondly, understand words and math vocabularies. Know the basic concepts first. Then, study math terms which are frequently used. Questions tend to have similar terms. When one do not understand easily, visit oner teacher in the morning or sometime before class. After understanding, it is good to solve some problems related to it.
Thirdly, prepare for the next class for an effective preparation. Do not just memorize the results, but understand the steps which follow. Also, do not try to prepare everything, but just basic points. To review on a day before the math class, be sure to read the textbook slowly, and look up some new words. Also, figure out the relations between last lessons.
Fourth, review after the class. Use workbooks and related books to help one. Doing homework will be the best way, and ask as soon as possible if there is something one forgot. Buy workbook that is on oner level, and start from thin book so one will not feel too much of stress. Also, after solving questions, follow the explanations at the back of the workbook. If it is too hard for one to review everyday, try to use oner break time between classes to solve five or so questions.
Fifth, concentrate in-class. The most important factor is to concentrate in class. Even if one prepared last night, one will need to listen to the teacher carefully. Then, one will not need to go to academies and learn in advance. Also, concentrate more of what the teacher is saying, then writing notes. She or he may give one some hints for test!
Sixth, rewrite questions on a piece of paper. This will make one easier to figure out the answer. Oner brain has a short-term memorization, which brings that actually writing will be very helpful for one to try many ways with maximum concentrations. Also, learn to figure out with many other ways and formulas to use for the question.
Seventh, do not memorize formula without understanding. If one do not understand question, the formulas will be mixed up. Memorizing the formulas without knowing the use of each one will not help one to get good grades. Even if one do not memorize but know steps to the answer, it may take some time but will give one the right answer. It will be better to memories the math related vocabularies. (Solve next page)
Eighth, write every step as one solve the questions. Then, even if one get the answer wrong, one will find what and where one did wrong. Do not compare onerself with others who solve faster then one. Righteous is more important then time.
Ninth, Solve problems alone, because with too much help of others will not make one learn. Try to figure out the answer by onerself and look up the textbook if one can not. In addition, talk to onerself when solving questions like one are actually explaining to oner friend.
Tenth, grasp points of each chapter. Every chapter is related with others. Therefore know the relations and it will be easier to solve the problems. Before and after learning new lessons, see which section is related.
