In D2, the second movie in the Mighty Ducks series, the team has an unpleasant experience on the ice when they are practicing for the first time. New hockey players join up with the original Mighty Duck players from the first movie. The first time they are all practicing together, they play a scrimmage game and the new players hate the old ones. They do not work together as a team and they eventually end up in a scrum at the end of the scrimmage because some personalities clash. The new players are better than the old players and they act it. Coach Bombay obviously recognizes this and he makes them all squeeze together in a tight pack and ties them all up in a rope. If they do not want to fall, they have to work together as a team to get where they want to go. They eventually learn to work together and they eventually become a team and become closer to each other. They eventually go on to win the world championship.
