Yvette's Trip to Tucson, Halloween Weekend, 1999

I went to Tucson over the Halloween weekend because my boys (the Patriots) were in Tempe playing the Cardinals. I took Phyllis and her friend Danny to our first pro football game.

The two hour drive from Tucson to Tempe was a little long, but definitely worth it! I was a little worried on the drive about wearing my BLEDSOE jersey to an away game, but as we pulled into town, all we saw was BLUE! YEAH! The final score was 28-3, New England. And I'll mention that Arizona fans are not very friendly, although by the end of this game, they were telling their own players to go home.

Oh, Oh, what could it be? Oh, Yeah! TOUCHDOWN!!!

The post-game entertainment, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (or something like that).

But that's not all we did! We went to one of the caves in the area, and Phyllis took PICTURES of it (GADS OF THEM!!!). Here is one picture from inside.

We also went to an old reservation/missionary on our way to Nogales, Mexico. There's Phyllis taking a picture outside the church. She is standing in front of what I call the prayer room, where we each lit a candle.

Inside the missionary. To the left is a center view, and to the right is a right view. They were renovating/repainting to the left, complete with ladders and scaffolding.

And of course, Phyllis would never forgive me if I didn't show a picture of her saguaros. This was taken at Saguaro National Park. You can tell these are old, as saguaros do not grow a second arm (ie, branch) until it is 75 years old.
