| The Good News |

| God created a magnificent paradise and chose Adam and Eve to live there. Adam and Eve were free to do anything they wanted and eat anything they liked. The only exception was that they were not allowed to eat from the forbidden tree, the tree of knowledge of good and evil. However, Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree. They chose to disobey God's warning. Adam brought sin into the world by disobeying God. Sin had brought a host of consequences. Of them, the most horrible was death. Sin brought physical and spiritual death into the world and would eternally separate mankind from God. But our Creator Lord Jesus Christ loved us so much that He died on the cross of Calvary and paid the price for our sins. He offers each one of us forgiveness. Jesus Christ is the only way to gain salvation so that we can live eternally with God in heaven. We must accept His gift of forgiveness. It cannot be earned by doing something. Then how do we obtain this gift? Believe in Jesus Christ as your personal saviour, the one and only access to the Father. All that is required is your FAITH. As you come to know Jesus better, you desire to do His will. We please God when we act in obedience... so go now and sin no more. God, the Creator and Giver of Life, does concern about each one of us. You, too, can understand Him and His wonderful plan for your life. But, God is Holy and must be approached on His terms. God needs you to worship Him as the one and only God in your life. Just as, Adam and Eve, the first people failed to trust God, so all of us have sinned by trying to live our own lives without Him. The Bible says that even if you obey all of God's laws but one, you are a lawbreaker and a guilty sinner before Him. So, no matter how religious you might be, or how many good deeds you may have done, you can never measure up to God's holiness. You are lost and separated from God. But God understands your helplessness and He loves you so much that He arranged to have His Son take your punishment and die for your sins. The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Salvation is a gift. It can't be worked for, so no one can boast about earning it. In the Bible, John chapter 3, Jesus told a religious leader, Nicodemus, that he must be born again to have eternal life; so you too must be born spiritually into God's family. That is why you need to invite Jesus to come into your life and to forgive you of your sin. If you wish to become a child of God and have Jesus as your personal Saviour, speak right now to God. You can utter these words in prayer: Oh God, I am now aware that I am a sinner and rebelled against you. I understand that thou hast allowed Jesus Christ to receive the punishment for my sin by dying on the Cross of Calvary. I invite Jesus to come into my life, to be my personal Saviour, and my Lord. I accept His gift of salvation. Thank you Jesus for coming into my life. If you have prayed that prayer and meant it, you have been saved from eternal punishment by the grace of God. The angels are rejoicing. You will one day join your Creator in heaven.
