04/10/02 Iris read a book for the first time today! She read "Mr. Grump" and did a wonderful job! She is really starting to blossom. We were so proud of her. She read it once to Grandpa Brian, once to me (mom) and called her Dad and read it to him! WAY TO GO IRIS!
04/12/02 Iris was sitting next to me and looking in a mirror. She opened her mouth and looked close and let out the most worried and horrified "Ohhhhhh
my Goddddd!" (Now, I usually instantly correct them to say Gosh instead of God, but she sounded so genuinely worried I did not.) "What is it Iris?" I asked curiously. She looked at me with her big eyes wide and a look of horror "I see my lung hanging down!!!" I nearly choked in laughter but concealed it well. "Iris, honey, that is your epiglottis, and it is normal." |
