A FEW NOTES OF INTEREST: If you are at risk of exposure to airborne anthrax, your physician may provide Rx for any of the following antibiotics: Cipro, 500mg 2x a day for at least 10 days Doxycycline Penicillin *these will well cover most Anthrax; they need to be administered within the first 24 hrs or ASAP, esp. to inhaled exposure of micro-fine spores. However, IF advisories are released that "MILITARIZED" Anthrax poses a real risk to citizens, be mindful that this is a SERIOUS challenge to treat; DON'T PANIC, but don't waste any time getting out of harms way if you can avoid exposure. practice common sense-- cover your nose and mouth by pulling your shirt or jacket over them in an area of active exposure! ***The main goal is to prevent inhalation of fine spores; skin exposure and gastrointestinal exposure are more manageable but still pose significant risk IF a "militarized" strain of Anthrax emerges. Other chemical and bio-warfare is a distinct possibility so don't be fooled by a weasel while you are busy guarding the henhouse from a fox!!! Be observant of tampering or degradation of any canned or packaged food. FOX News has reported a Eur. Intel. report of an unknown agent called "sensinem" which was discussed by a Tunisian terrorist (Oct02). The vehicle was described as canned tomatoes, but this may be code for another crude delivery system--even stinger missiles. We will post more info soon; basically you should have food & water stock and an escape route planned, just as in any civil emergency. Adapt to this new reality with all possible zest by not missing a single meaningful moment of every day life; be kind and open to everyone and pay attention to all people. It is a time when we all need to have small, friendly moments so let us be patient and interested in each other. It will strengthen all of us on many levels, including boosting our immune systems, especially if many are depleted by antibiotics and flu shots! ... note stray packages or odd mail...follow appropriate measures and do NOT disturb potential spore material. | It probably can't be said enough to beware the weasles while watching for the fox! There is a very tightknit and well-directed conspiracy to destroy us from within, using our own materials in a symbolic fashion. While Osama exploits center stage, operators, connected to him or not, are putting into action their demented and destructive plans. They are bent on making this a war with Islam, and they have nothing to lose because they are losers. We must all be vigilant. |
