Zerg vs. Terran: Zerg can be a very scary race if played right. But, in the begining they can be really vulnerable. So you have to get past that part to really see how good they can be. It's kinda hard to fight marines and firbats with those little week lings. So early in the game you have to protect your base with sunken and have some lings for back up. You should make sunken where they will protect your minerals and important buildings. But don't waste too much time making sunken. The enemy will beat them with tanks easy. While making sunken you should also be working on your gas and getting hydras/lurkers. Lurkers can quickly turn the battle in your favore if the enemy is in your base. I would recommend getting them ASAP. And if the enemy doesn't have protection in his main building, you can place the lurkers there and the game is over. I have found that one very effective way to play zerg is getting your hydra upgrades "evolution chamber hydras den" ASAP and plenty of hatcheries early. A couple of overlords and you can have a tough army in no time. But since tanks will eventually rule the ground you might want to consider making air units early. Mutas are very effective early in the game too. They can kill marines pretty easy if you group them together and then you can go after the tanks. You might want to go for some guardians and not waste preciouse minerals and gas sending too many units to get slautered by tanks. You have to economize a little Against terran to get those guardians faster. Cause those tanks can be pretty scarey. Some times a bunch of lings and hydras work well but if they have plenty marines in, tanks or even some goliath, it will be too hard to beat. Guardians can really guard your base. Soon after you will have to make devour also for those wriaths /valks or BC's. It is always wise to place about 12+ Lurkers up front for defence when your zerg. Dark Sawarm can help protect your ground from tanks but it won't protect all of them. Some still get killed under Swarm. If a player goes BC crazy you can easly take them out with 2 defilers. One for plaque and the other to protect your hydras with Dark Swarm. Dark Swarm can be a very powerfull shield. Another thing that really works for killing tanks is the Queen's "Broodling" If you hit a tank in a pile it will explode broods and then the surrounding tanks will fire and kill eachother "good shit" |
