For YOUR Well-Being
YOUR TREASURE TODAY
Expect to find a special treasure today. Somewhere in the moments, the people,
the situations, the challenges, the experiences of this day will be a unique
and valuable gem which can truly enrich your life.
If you start this day with the goal of just getting through it, that treasure
will most certainly elude you. If you spend your energy on anxiety, anger, blame, despair or vindictiveness, you'll go right past that special treasure and never know its beauty.
Today is the day when you can bring truly good things to your life. Today is
the day for you to live with real and substantial meaning. Putting it off until
some day in the distant future assures you of never having the treasure that
can be yours this very day.
Look around you. Count your many blessings. Open yourself to the treasure that
can be yours right now. Live each of today's moments as if they were special
and irreplaceable, because they most certainly are. See the beauty and magnificence that is yours to live as you gather the golden treasure of today.

PLANET YOU
"Earth to you. Earth to you."
Does your mind ever wander so far off during your workout that you may as well be floating on Planet Jupiter? Do your eyes wander so much when you're in the gym that by the end of your workout, you feel like you're seeing stars?
Well, if you qualify as a bona fide space shot, it may be time for you to start focusing solely on that quiet, desolate planet of one. It's the one known as Planet You.Hence, in order for you to achieve your serious fitness goals, it is imperative for you to zone in on your own gym excursions, and zone out the surrounding constellation of gym patrons.
Don't concern yourself with others.
Your workout is just that. It's YOUR workout. It's your time, your energy, and your body. Hence, you are in control.Often times, weight trainers will pile on the heavy weight to impress all those wandering eyes throughout the gym. However, it may not necessarily be the wise thing to do.Instead, zone in on your own goals, your own workout, and your own benefits.
If you need to utilize minimal weight in order to attain proper form in your exercises - or if you simply need to go light in order to get the maximum out of your sets - then, by all means, train light. Many trainers achieve far more success by training at a light, manageable pace, than with heavy poundage that is ridiculously above their heads.
Do YOUR workout.
When you're grinding it out in the gym, try not to let others influence you. Often times, other trainers will intrude in your workout and advise you on how to perform an exercise. Yet, many of them are more like Dumbo than Rambo. They know little of what they speak, and the most trivial of bad advice can lead to years of shoddy weight training.
If you need professional advice, you can easily attain it. You may even consider hiring a personal trainer to assist you. There is certainly no shame in this. Even experienced weight trainers hire personal trainers to either motivate them or assure that they are using correct form.Sometimes, distractions can take their toll on your workout, whether they come in the form of gabby gym patrons, ringing cell phones, or obnoxious screamers. If this is the case at your gym, there's on simple solution: Wear a Walkman.
Compete only with yourself.
Many gyms have that "American Gladiators" mentality, an environment that is reminiscent to a fiercely competitive battleground. And unfortunately, it seems like everyone is revving up their competitive engines.
But remember, the only individual you are competing with in your quest to look your best is you. The guy at the bench next to you may be trying to out-gun you in the weight department, but on your planet, the only opponent is you. Constantly challenge yourself by pushing your body to the limits, but not to the point where you are preoccupied with evening the score with gym room rivals. Keep your goals - and their goals - on separate playing fields.
