Biographical Information

James had been teaching yoga and practicing massage for 10 years. Before that he studied and lived at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Although he has studied with over 40 teachers, he says that he learned everything from his main teacher Judith Semark. When he was about to start teaching, Judith told him, "The main thing students want is your love and experience." James has tried to live by that simple teaching philosophy ever since, but also has tried to be a messenger for his students experiences as well--transmitting what they have experienced to other students.
