Yoga

What is Yoga?

The word yoga means to unite.  To unite our individual consciousness with the universal consciousness.  Yoga helps us to discover that our idea of separation is just a perception and that we are one with everything.

There are 4 main paths of yoga:

Karma Yoga - action of selfless service
Bhakti Yoga - yoga of devotion which opens the heart
Jnana Yoga - yoga of wisdom, intellect and awareness
Raja Yoga - royal or pyschological involving the mind (incorporating hatha yoga)

In yoga we are practicing awareness on all levels.  By practicing awareness of body, mind, emotion and spirit we start to uncover the beliefs of separation.

As a yoga therapist I work with specific yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditations to help you on your individual journey.

In group classes we work together towards greater awareness and understanding.
